Mostly an excellent performance with an I explicable stutter before finishing it off.

Still, it's a ODI series win with a match to go, so can't complain. A good day for West Indies cricket.

Chandimal did score but I still feel he is a misfit in this team. With one match to go, SL can try others.

I'd ask Chandimal to play one down, and let one of Fernando and Nissanka play down the order. One has to be left out. Thissara and Sandakan can go out, and Akila Dhananlaya and Ramesh Mendis could come in. Ramesh Mendis have to open the bowling, as we have seen Windies had no issues with our pacemen. Nuwan Pradeep a can go out and Lakmal and Shanaka can come in.

Karunarathne, Gunathilaka, Chandimal, Fernando, Bandara, Shanaka, Mendis, Hasaranga, Dhananjaya, Lakmal, Chameera would be my playing XI.

Shai Hope's ODI average almost up to 55. The guy's been one of the best ODI bats in the world for a while now, but bizzarely can't seem to translate even a fraction of this to tests.

Just noticed that Hope has more ODI runs since the start of 2019 than any other batsman, with a better average than even Kohli.

He's the wicketkeeper as well. He's so vital for our ODI side.

What pleases me more is his strikerate as an opener has gone up to 80plus, which is good for someone playing his role.
