According to the newspaper report, it is the reaction of BCCI secretary N Srinivasan that has led to the ICC investigation. Instead of acting on the report, Srinivasan is alleged to have got the Sri Lankans to withdraw it.

The 23-year-old Raina plays for Chennai Super Kings, an IPL franchise owned by Indian Cements of which Srinivasan is a vice-chairman and managing director.


Massive conflict of interest there. It's probably why it's even got this far, the dubiousness of Srinivasan.

Modi probably loves this right now :p Raina is most probably innocent, but Srinivasan might get into a lot of trouble if he didn't follow the proper protocol anyway.

True. There is a big conflict of interest here. But at least the SL cricket board could have been a little more pro-active. Now this is looking really bad and will leave doubts in the mind of people even if there is nothing.

I still don't get whats the big deal in meeting a woman who is an associate of someone who allegedly knows a bookie??????? This is a pretty crap piece of news so far.
