Well he does seem like a massive (literally and metaphorically) arsehole, yes, but my point was that just because someone's a test vet it doesn't necessarily mean they're the right man for the job.

I hadn't twigged he was that Ijaz Butt - that means he was the bloke who was supposedly pouring oil on the troubled waters of Shakoor Rana/Gatting - little wonder that turned out so badly then

He was the PCB secretary at the time - it was him and Peter Lush, the England manager, who tried, not too hard I suspect, to sort out a truce
