Klusener to Atapattu, FOUR, SHOT, fullish on the off, beats cover diving one way, extra cover dives the other way, beats them both - imagine that

I do love Atapattu's drives. :D

This is turning out to be a poor tour for SA, hopefully they can get the remaining 2 games.

How ******** is it that they batted Klusener at three. When your teams having a dreadful run of form you should go bac to normal methods at they should have played Kallis at three. But SL are looking unbeatable

SL likely to rest their key players for the next two games (in view of potential injuries before ICC Champions Trophy) and play some of their up and coming players (Likely to rest Sangakkara and may be even Vaas) . SA need to get their top batsmen firing before the Champions Trophy.

While its too close to the Champions Trophy (and hence they are unlikely to change their captaincy before it) change of Captaincy must be a very important consideration in the minds of their selectors !!

7 Wicket victory, almost 4 overs to spare, with their 3 big guns not playing.

Four....Zip

For flips sake, not again!

It seems like the SA Team don't care about losing any more !!

or else there must be a lot of Team disunity under the surface !!

The Captain is probably a major part of this !!

Unless they play well in the Champions Trophy (which they may well do under different conditions) the Captain needs to be changed urgently.

This has been a terrible tour for SA.
6 games played so far - 5 losses, no wins, 1 draw.

9 ODI defeats on the trot. They need to get their act together before the ICC Trophy and England.

SL likely to rest more players for the final game (possibly Sangakkara and Jayawardene) . Hope SA can nail a morale booster at least in final game !!

May be Pollock should take over captaincy again !!

If they struggle in Champions Trophy - then best to go for wholesale change and get new Coach too!! (Geoff Marsh would be a good option IMO)

Things can't be that great when Graeme Smith is bowling 4th change today.
From what I saw of him in NZ, he's really only a change of ends bowler at best.

South Africa don't really need to tinker as the majority of this side a year ago was thrashing or beating most teams convincingly.

Every person who plays a sport should know that yourself or your team goes into a rather large hole from time to time. Sometimes it might be 2 or 3 games, other times it can be a year or more (in the case of South Africa)

I believe for a team like South Africa, 2 or 3 wins in a row & they'll be running again.

South Africa are in serious trouble yet again. Sri Lanka smashed up 308 off their 50 overs and S.A are now 30/1 after 9 overs.

I think another reason why South Africa are struggling is due to the fact that Kallis & Klusener are half the ODI bowlers they used to be..they've both been smacked in S.L & also in NZ. Boje seems to be even less effective also.

An early exit at the Champions Trophy could spell doom for some of the players...Eric Simons has said he'll quit if they don't win & I don't think he'll break that promise even if S.A lose a thriller against the Windies.

hmmmm i guess so..........whats really wrong with these guys ??? they have so many star players in this side...or is it that Sri lanka is soo good ???

I think Sri Lanka are beatable..but im not taking away anything from them, they've been playing good cricket as of late.

South Africa are just having a combination of problems now...the losing streak will be playing on their minds, there's probably a bit of tension in the team...things go downhill pretty quick.
Are South Africa coming to the point where they're going to have to start rebuilding?
