Thing that pisses me off, didnt we have Jacques Kallis as batting consultant but was let go because he wasnt 'tanned' enough. Was it that Govender woman. It is obvious batting is a problem, we needed all the help we can get
I thought that got rid of that requirement and Neil McKenzie is now the batting coach, so if he is then we do have someone with some pedigree in the role. Not that he's doing a particularly good job at the moment.

Yeah to be fair I don't think there's much evidence Kallis would be a better fit for the job than McKenzie other than "he was a better Test batsman", a line of thought that has a pile of mutiliated corpses behind it.

The rule is suspended , only applied to consultants. Neil McKenzie is full time high performance batting manager, so rule doesn't apply to him. Just like Dillion du Preez was appointed full time to the ladies team so the rule didn't apply to them.

Cricket came back. PCB started Production. Sold broadcasting rights. ---> Increase in PCB revenue. ---> More money into domestic system. ---> better infrastructure in NHPC & HPCs.
Team looks better. New CS is very professional. Babar won his 1st Test series. These all are +ve signs going forward.

in 2015 ; India’s kit sponsorship was worth in excess of $60 million while Pakistan’s kit was worth nothing

in 2020 ; The PCB expects the new broadcasting deal to fetch in excess of USD 200 million & regaining interest of International Market.

Yeah keeping the library with yourself is a good idea, BCCI have been doing that for a while but the ****ers dont put content on YouTube either. At least PCB is doing that.

Glad to see Markram get some runs. Always rated him and he's obviously gun. The world needs a dashing SA batsman again.

Could only follow the scorecard today but looks like they held their catches today which is always to be celebrated for a Pakistani outfit. Glad to see that the pacers did the bulk of the damage for Pakistan in this match. Fast bowling has been lacking for a while now and hope we can have a good attack soon. Fingers crossed Abbas isn't done.

Excellent work by the boyz. The way Hasan was bowling yesterday I was really worried he'd go for a 100, glad to see he reined it in and got a 10-fer. Good to see Shaheen in the wickets too. Bowled better than his stats showed before today.

Markram is a beast. He looked so good yesterday I was genuinely worried he'd see them home. It's too bad for SA that he doesn't seem to have good support. vdD looked good as well yesterday as well, and Bavuma has looked threatening all series. There's a lot to work off of here, you saffas are too negative. Maybe you're just not used not having ATGs in your team, haha.

How many times has Babar looked solid at the end of a day only to get out early on the next day? He needs to convert his starts.

We have real talent sitting at FC level. Young, inexperienced but talented. You look at Mulder and you have to wonder why they persisted with Dwaine Pretorius. Markram was replaced by Pieter Malan for a stage. Yes there was some injuries, and some form loss but neither of the replacements was taking us into the future and rebuilding the team. So when I look at Rassie, Faf and Bavuma it's frustrating because we have replacements that need to be given experience. Our next test series is Dec against India. That is another year lost and no further progress on the Test team made.

noice to see hasan ali return in style. temba bavuma continuing to keep his head above water, not so much
Hasan was far from his best despite taking a bag too. He wickets mostly came off good balls but he bowled plenty of **** in between, and I don't think he's really quite dangerous enough to just rely on jaffas like that.

Certainly looked a lot better than post-injury Naseem or Abbas though so he's got a spot booked for a little while at least.

Congrats Pakistan on the win! I am sure most Pakistani fans take pride in Shaheen and Hassan getting 4fers/5fers here, reminding them of their old days of having quality quicks!

I still don't fancy him upfront. Far too wasteful. You would think he would be going at 6+ runs an over in places like Australia, but first or second change and with the older ball he is a threat. Pak should use him like that and get someone else up front to support Afridi.

That's how he bowls in general. Very pleased for him, but I don't see him succeeding in South Africa or Australia. His bowling style is perfect for the dry and low bounce conditions here in the SC, but his lack of accuracy, pace and height will make him fodder in those conditions.

Afridi is the real deal imo.
