Perhaps one of the moderators can e-mail me and fill me in. If they don't want to be honest, perhaps its best if I give Cricket Web a miss.
There's not a lot which I can say at the mement - suffice to say there's a 'luckyeddie' there too and I've never subscribed to their forum, but that proves nothing (could be someone genuine)Adamc said:Fill me in too, if possible? No - you certainly didn't do anything wrong at all. Hopefully the email would have cleared everything up.Kent said:Did I do something wrong?

well considering he took 10 wickets against england on their last tour at an avg of 24.90 why not pick a more inexperienced player who has not done anything at international level in the side?Kent said:Craig - it's interesting you should say that about Vettori and England. Just driving home this evening I was surprised to hear how many fans want Vettori rested from the England tour, with quite a number wanting Bruce Martin to go in his place.
Radio Sport isn't really known for its cricket talk, but I think the idea has a bit of merit. Vettori is getting increasingly defensive and frustrated with his bowling, and a rest could save him from becoming completely neurotic about it.
A pace selection of Bond, Martin, Tuffey, Oram and Cairns(?) will be expected to claim 90% of NZ's wickets anyway. SA only managed 5 wickets through specialist spinners in their 5 English tests last year, despite Boje just cleaning up Vettori 8 wickets to nil at the Basin.
If Bruce Martin could chip out a few wickets with something new, perhaps continuing his good form as a lower-order batsman, I think he would enhance the NZ squad. If it turns out he's more innocuous at the top level than Vettori is, no real harm done IMO.
first of all boje was injured in the ODI series and never got to play the test matches in england. adams is IMO useless because he lacks accuracy and penentration and its only his action that is unorthodox...if u can read it as most sides bar zim and ban do u should really have no problem.Kent said:NZ last toured England in 1999, tooextracool.
In other words, kids were mmm-bopping to Hanson CDs. Martina Hingis was the best women's tennis player in the world, David Duval was the best golfer, and Vettori had never had a serious injury.
5 wickets from *specialist* spinners meant Boje and Adams, who incidently have test averages 6 runs lower than Vettori's. If Adams has no real talent, I hate to think what Vettori is lacking ATM. Perhaps let's start with the coach's approval for using variations.

Yep, Chris Martin.Loony BoB said:Back on topic, who's your man of the series?
Don't say that, God will hear you and Martin will get injured.at last NZ have another genuine 'stike' bowler capable of taking bags of wickets in an innings, rather than just 2 - 3...

<quack> Leave Steve Harmison out of thisLoony BoB said:Aye, it was good to see Cairns back in that kind of form.

Well it is better then India's, some of them are hardly Test standard (AA [not accurate], Zaheer, Nehra etc.).tooextracool said:meanwhile it was an amazing innings from greame smith. i said yesterday that it was his time to prove all his critics wrong and he definetly did that. i seem to remember someone saying that this was greame smiths real test....coming up against a really good bowling side( ) with a really good captain. i guess now hes proved himself and personally i think he has it in him to become an even better captain than fleming, hes only what 23?
Um did you see him bowl? He bowled absolute jaffers to Rudolph and Kirsten which lead to their dismisal.spofta said:Chris martin would have to be the most average bowler i have ever seen. He is a joke not only to himself but to new zealand. South africa would have to be the worst team i have seen to get out to that joke.
