Gosh. It seems a long time since First Chance Average was an annoying mantra that was repeated on here. But seriously, Nicholls' would be some pretty ropey looking FCA.

South Africa has bowled ok in patches but not really consistent with lines and length. Be interesting to see the pitch map and scoring zones. Most runs would have been leaked square.

For the hype that was created in the media and by the former cricketers about this South African side, their win vs India it's been a pretty flat day by South Africa. Looking at their side I never quite felt this is a side that can come close to matching the ones that visited us in the past.

Body line bowling attempt to Conway but the pace isn't there to test him.

Always wondered why no one tried to attack his ribs given that's the only area he looks a bit undercooked. That said Conway still knows how to bail out and still score plenty.

Just on SA team selection I hate we dropped Maharaj (again). And still not playing Mulder is now getting ridiculous. Also this must be Markrams last series to do something. To many other good batsmen in SA need a chance.
