I'm really heartened that Hesson has the balls to drop Southee. He would've offered zero on this pitch.
Sounds like Boult is getting a little swing so I'm not sure Southee would have been completely useless here.

Hoping for a wicket from Jeets soon.

I think as the game goes on, hitting the wicket will be best for seamers hoping for inconsistent bounce and pace.

Well bowled Boult and NZL. Deserved that.

Now Amla's in early and not at imperious best and Elgar is being tested by Jeets as travelling to the ground this morning I dont think he thought he would be facing off-spin this early.

How soon will slips go in front of the wicket making scoring even more difficult ? That edge went straight down.

Really don't think two spinners is the right call - and would prefer Sodhi to Jeets as he's the more attacking option, but hoping to be proven wrong.
Yeah I think if they wanted to play two spinners, Santner had to bat in the top seven.. or at the very least CdG had to play over Neesham to give a more reliable third seam option. Two seamers just doesn't cut it for me at all, especially when one of them is Wagner.

I'm very happy with Patel over Sodhi though.
