He apparently makes runs in domestic cricket v trundlers. such a poor batsman, yeah.Seriously think he should be as low as ten in this lineup. I know he'll bat seven but man...

Stopped reading after this, I'll just drop the discussion now.No you're still not getting it.
Out of all the batsmen in India, Kohli is probably the best equipped to bat at 5.
He hasn't actually done much in the limited amount of domestic cricket he's played, tbh. He has a good First Class average but his HS is 63, and his List A record with the bat isn't really flash at all (did make a 90 once though). He apparently makes runs in domestic cricket v trundlers. such a poor batsman, yeah.
My theory is ravi looks at him as his true heir.He hasn't actually done much in the limited amount of domestic cricket he's played, tbh. He has a good First Class average but his HS is 63, and his List A record with the bat isn't really flash at all (did make a 90 once though).
I'm really not sure someone should be holding their batting spot in international cricket based on domestic performances when they've never actually made a ton in domestic cricket. It's a lot of random faith; must look good in the nets or something.
