Fourth slip... but off the bat. And not taken, but missed.

Rubbish ball, rubbish shot, rubbish fielding.

Smith's 3rd let-off of the series, will he make this count like he did the previous 2?

Just imagine if Kevin Pietersen's Test captaincy debut had been a wicket 1st ball?
considiring some of the pies he has bowled in his time that is classified as a harmison 'jaffa'

It was, it was short and wide. Smith should have left it, 1st ball of the match FFS. He was never going to keep that down.
It wasn't that wide, it jumped a bit (mostly due to the pitch, naturally) and came in a tad. Wasn't a great first ball, but a good ball nonetheless.

If Smiffy can get over this blow how good would it be to see him ton up again? Hope he does, but nice over to get back into things for Harmy.

Ambrose gets Harmisoned as I once got Plunketted. Hit him in the mouth though it hit me on the nose mind. Either way, not nice.

Thank the stars for that. He's already a smug enough git as it is, getting Smith of all people out in the 1st ball of his captaincy would've stuck a Cheshire cat like grin on him 'till the end of the series.

As it is, he's probably got a bit of a frowny-frown on at the mo, which is a look I like a lot more.

McKenzie almost dragging-on leaving. Seen him leave too late before now.

Hahaha, and he does it again 2 balls later, getting the outside-edge that drops short this time.

This is good stuff from Harmison. He seems to be realising that with his great height, simply pitching the ball on a good line will often suffice.

I$C$C among the myriad of other things they do really should try something to improve sightscreens. There are far too many which are not good enough currently.

Just turned TMS on at work and Pollock saying Harmison is bowling very well. True?

EDIT- and how teams fancy having ago against oppoents that only play 5 bats

Looks like rain isn't far away, possibly lots of it.

Harmison had Smith dropped 1st ball of the match from a short, wide ball BTW. Smith's been struck amidships by nip-backers twice as well but apart from that not much. Average speed of 86mph.
