Smith batted well. First time I have seen him bat and I really enjoyed watching him bat. I know for certain that he likes to play square of the wicket on both sides and a bit loose outside off stump at times.

Either way Flintoff is going to lose the plot & give his wicket away or absolutely go nuts & hit a quickfire 50.

how did you see him play? do you have pay tv or something?
Sure do!

I have had it since Feburay 1999, we nearly got rid of it when the India series came in 2001 (my family doesnt like cricket except for me), except I saved it by paying for it for a month or two.

YUP, told ya.

109.3 Hall to Flintoff, OUT: duck! short of a good length delivery
outside the off stump, bit of swing and bounce, Flintoff pushes at
it and gets a thick edge, Pollock at first slip takes a good catch
and an uncharacteristic Flintoff innings comes to an end

347/6

If South Africa let Giles score runs then god save them..they've got a big chance now to finish the tail off.

Chance of that happening (batting well) in an innings that actually MEANS something is about the same as McDonalds putting meat in their burgers.

South Africa have certainly fought back well on the second morning to win the session.

Stewart now is the key - if the Proteas can knock him over shortly after lunch this match could still go either way (if England bowl the rubbish we saw in the first 2 games of the rubber especially). If, however, he can go on to take England to 450+, that will put the home side in a really strong position.

This wicket is one for the grafter, though - and there are plenty with the capability to do just that in the South African team.

Stewart looks like he's batting for his test career, I reckon it'll be tough going removing him.

Uncharacteristic? It's happened too many times in Tests to count :(

Knowing what Trent Bridge has been like this season, I'd suggest that 445 is well over par.

The final session should be particularly interesting - I think that Giles will have quite a bit to do even this evening.
