You not seen the delivery De Villers took just before it broke his nose?
And you can see how much that surprised him, given how many deliveries are shooting low. Standing well up too.

If this pitch was pacy, then SA would have bowled England out for a lot less as the slip catches would have carried. Not sure why I have to explain it...

Rattled through. Broad just got a length ball through to Prior's ears.
Yes, because the ball is one over old!

Pace of the pitch is fine.
Yes pace is a little up and down, don't think it's as flat as a few have made out.

The pitch isn't quick, but the odd one is hitting a firm patch and going. It's not a great batting pitch ATM, and hasn't been all day, sporting rather than vicious, but we have the bowlers to exploit it.

The only notable one that didn't carry was Priors to Smith at slip, which happens on any pitch when the batters play it with soft hands. The pitch isn't fast, but its clearly not slow. There is also no chance you have any clue whether De Villers is standing well up either, calling bollocks on that. Can't remeber a ball grubbing through to a keeper after being left in the entire game.

Try watching the game next time son. The pitch is not slow by any stretch of the imagination (literally no idea where you have got that from) and whilst not a minefield or even close it is doing enough off the surface (see Philander to Broad). The Saffers bowled very very well this morning, Steyn in particular was on fire. There is also no rain projected for the next 3 days and only a slight chance of rain today.

All in all you couldn't be more wrong.
Look, I don't mind if you disagree with what I said, but if your delusions of grandeur are so far exaggerated that you immediately assume anyone whose opinion doesn't quite match up with yours mustn't have watched the game - for it would be unimaginable for someone to a reach a conclusion that differed from your self-certified gospel - then you can go do one.

Point taken about the weather though; I hadn't checked the forecast since before play on Day 1 and it's improved a lot.
