Bumble and Warne incredibly condescending towards Philander atm. The English commentary team year after year are so obsessed with pace.

Teams should fine them 10% of their match fee every time they do it. It a disgrace really.
I mean it simply shouldn't be possible. It's bad enough when blokes bowling at one-fifty do it, but when you're coming off a five pace semi-jogging start, how the **** do you not manage to get some part of your foot behind that fairly obvious white line on the ground? Incomprehensible.

And almost gets a wicket with a rank full toss as I write this... ah, legspin.

Isn;t he joking? They were downright complimenting him?
No. They were tempering their "praise" by saying "well he's actually pretty good but you'd think he's just a medium-pacer, but nah honestly, he can be pretty good, if the conditions are right....and he gets it right.....honest".

The guy has 54 wickets at 16 FFS

Yeah, you would have thought McGrath would have shut 'em up all these years, but they're all about the gun.

Edit: I'm not actually listening to it, Radio five on.

FWIW I'm not saying that Philander's career will necessarily continue to be a glorious success, but at this point he deserves nothing other than fawning admiration and respect from opposition comms.

didn't come across that way to me. Sounded pretty reasonable. You'd be spewing if you heard some of what Holding was saying.

He's ****ing done it again the same as last test, what a **** wit, giving wickets away again.

Watching it again, that was awful, what was he thinking. Said earlier he does this far too often wafting his bat out like a prick.
