**Official** South Africa in England 2012

Englishman
Always feel for the domestic players who do well against the tourists in non-FC games. Aneesh Kapil has made what would've been a career best.

Impressive for an 18yo in any event.

Viscount Tom

International Debutant
Strauss was never likely to be around in time for the next world cup, he's also captain.

Vaughan was never likely to be around for the 2011 World Cup and in any ase wasn't much cop in the format.

Harmison I'm not too sure about.

Don't think either of them were trying to skip the format so they could play more carnival cricket for money more they were retiring form the format to spend more time with their family or so England could move on.

Hussain vs Smith = Hussain chopped
Vaughan vs Smith = Vaughan chopped
Strauss vs Smith = Last test series for Straussy as the captain? ;)

I don't disagree with Chappell as much as some on here, but the Miller anecdote is a hilarious thing to bring up.

I mean I don't really rate Strauss tactically but that article is hilarious. It's as if he was so mortified by "his" last effort that he made sure this was as idiosyncratically Chappelli as he could possibly make it, random historical anecdotes and pumping up aggressive Australian captain and all.
