MM keeping that average against England below 35. WAG
He is better than that though Scaly will disagree. Good chance of being leading wicket taker in series as he isn't firing fully yet and already has 5 wickets, god help us if he gets it right.

I'm certainly not of the opinion that pace is the be all and end all, but the Saffers have been appreciably faster here and have definitely flogged more life out of what was supposed to be the deadest duck of a deck.

Bell wears one from Morkel to prove my point; it's just good, hostile, fast stuff.

Morkel the fastest out there bowling 87/88mph, Steyn and Jimmy bowled around the same for the most part, shows what a team on top with a 200 odd lead can do .

England just bowled really poor though, even taking the pitch into consideration, yesterday and today they just seemed to go through the motion, which is not what we've come to expect from them at all.

Makes you wonder whether they'll unleash big Steve, next time, maybe could have used him this test match.

Or maybe this Saffer team are an awful lot better than we gave them credit for?

I for one am guilty of that. Long unbeaten home run maybe got the better of me.

Not taking anything away from the SA's and never have done, think they're a very good attack but I think we are too and we've proved it over again but there's no getting away from the fact England have bowled as poor as they have done in ages this test.

It's a bit early to shut up shop and bat for stumps. They must not let Tahir simply bowl at them and gain confidence over by over. Smack him to the boundary ffs, and undermine his fragile self belief.

We did, lacked intensity like SA did on day 1 too which was unusual for both sides.

Just been a bit of a weird test match, hyped up as the best 2 bowling attacks going at it and for the most it's been the batsmen show, then the SA's decided to show up and we didn't.

Whatever happens I'll back us to come back much stronger next test.
