Tony much like Kyle V might have a 28 average but they've shown enough to be backed.

Looked untroubled until he went out in the first innings & the same here so far. That in itself could be a problem for him but it also shows he does feel at home at this level & there isn't extra pressure on him compared to playing domestically.

And there you go. He tends to get these starts domestically too. Just about getting through that with him if he wants to make it at this level. Mental work and him going back to WP and doing it over and over. As not a definite in our white-ball squads.
He has the ability. Been quite impressed with him. Stubbs too. I really do think lots of the challenge here for the SA batsmen is they need to learn without having the experience around them. Unfortunately I don't think they learn enough at SA FC level.

And I have liked the overall attitude this morning. Be aggressive get the job done. Reminds me of the way Smith used to play and put pressure on he opposition particularly in the 4th innings chases.

Supposedly flat and not as much spin in Chattogram?

I imagine Bavuma in for Breetzke

Paterson or Ngidi for Piedt? Pity we don't have a stronger seam option to give us the choice.
It's usually flat unless it's specifically doctored. It will help us. We need a lot of assistance to make a score, which then gives our fairly adequate bowling attack something to defend. We'll need a lot more out of Miraz though, and probably have to pick another seamer.

Good performance by the Proteas, but awful by Banga, they will improve in the 2nd test i have no doubt,
ZA one change probably, if fit Bavuma returns, although a disappointing game Piedt will keep his place.
