It's amazing how little some of the expert commentators seem to know about the players on the field. Just hearing from Geoff Lawson about how Haddin won't be used to coming in at this situation, as he generally is further up the order opening the innings.... lol wut?
To further add to this. At the end of the innings, Henry was reflecting on how many options Australia had apart from Mussey, with Hopes, Haddin, White & Dussey, all of whom have apparently opened before...haha, and Henry is from NSW so he can't claim ignorance. Just shows how out of the loop he is.
No, it's just what those guys do. And it's a very good tactic by the spinners, especially while they aren't going for too many runs. Suddenly you look up, and you've lost four overs and only taken 15 or so off them, when you need to be getting run a ball. And Dave Hussey has always been super quick between overs, often getting under the skins of the batsman by beginning his run-up before the batsman is ready.Is Ponting trying to better the SA 4 mins spare time (over rates) by using 2 very quick spinners between balls?
The problem is;you know what I mean; proper spinner = specialist spinner, not part timers like D Hussey and Clarke
Give me a break - Hauritz has done a good job in the context.The problem is;
There is none.
Can you see him playing in the Australian team (Test and ODI's) for the next 5 years?Give me a break - Hauritz has done a good job in the context.
You're kidding, aren't you? White capitalised very well in the Powerplay overs, played a great cameo. I can understand the sentiment, and that maybe they shouldn't have both played, but to say that White didn't contribute with the bat is just stupid.We're gonna lose this game because of the lack of an extra specialist bowler to get the breakthrough. Shouldn't have picked either Hopes or White, too many bits and pieces players and did they even contribute markedly with the bat? No.
