International Debutant
Rare treat, ten overs from Kallis. Someone must have had a word. Top bowling so far, nine overs for nothing, two good LBW shouts and a drop catch.
He's hard to read atm, uninspiring bowling in the T2Os and his batting hasn't been up to his usually high standards for the past year but with his bowling he's reprised some of his earlier glory years.

Doesn't even do it in Twenty20...

That's actually the only spot that I thought might've been open for Hodge. He has opened before for Victoria in OD cricket with some success, and does it regularly in Twenty20 cricket.
I think he is taking about options from within the squad, and in case the selectors are going to bring in an opener from outside the squad, then currently with all this Warner love in the air, hard to see them going from anybody other than Dave Warner to open the batting with Marsh.

Lovely innings by Marsh, his straight drives were fantastic. Australia in a pretty good position imo.

It was a well played innings by Marsh, but there were little "weaknesses" about him that you could see being exploited in the longer version. Very front on driving, big bottom hand (especially through the leg side).

Best commentary team in the world. A knee high full toss earns comments such as:

"That's too short, he's managed to get underneath that."

"Yes that's short...... Oh no, it's full!"

Classic stuff.

DJ Hussey in da house!!

Not bad, this fella. Were Australia hiding him in the same dungeon his brother managed to escape from?

Ugly looking dive from Steyn. Remember Mikey Holding always used to whinge about fast bowlers diving, saying that they shouldn't take the risk of hurting themselves.

Good little cameo from White there, been a reasonable powerplay from the Aussies. Got their boundary an over.

Credit to the Saffas for getting through their overs so quickly. Will now ensure that the Brisbane viewers miss close to 30 overs of the South African innings.

Geez, where did that 50 come from?! Barely noticed it, suddenly he's hit a better than run-a-ball 50.

Dave's third ODI 50 in his first five innings. Well played.

Have two sets of brothers ever played against each other in an ODI before?

It's amazing how little some of the expert commentators seem to know about the players on the field. Just hearing from Geoff Lawson about how Haddin won't be used to coming in at this situation, as he generally is further up the order opening the innings.... lol wut?
