Hmm that complicates things when he's stuck coming in with hardly any time left.White needs time to get in.
Pity his shonky bowling doesn't save much face either.

As Gelman said Tait' potential was for everyone to see at the WC, even at the age of 24-25he has gone through a fair bit, he has had to cope with a lot of injuries time and again, questions have been asked about his action, all the media attention and hype surrounding him, and tbh i think Tait has handled it all as well anyone, if it won't have been for Tait' body that has time and again let him down (yup, that action of his doesn't help either, does it), we could have seen Tait do what he did in the WC a lot more consistently.True.
However, all bets are off once you pull out of the game, even if just for a while. Its not like he's Lara, who even with his mental breakdown and absences from the game at times, you know he's a genius and he has it in him to be the best.
The true test for Tait is when things aren't going his way, and whether he can mentally cope. He was impressive at the World Cup (I lost an avatar bet because of how good he was, and how I underrated him), but its still 'potential' when you haven't done it for a long time.
JP Duminy is still 'potential' even though he scored runs and performed on the toughest (at least it has been for ages) tour in test cricket. You still can't say he's 'there' yet, and the same goes for Tait in limited overs cricket.
I never said Australia shouldn't play Tait. In fact I think he's impressive and should always play the limited overs format (especially when you have bowlers like Bracken in your side, good foil). But at this moment in time, you can't say Tait is anything but 'potential'. He's a potential match-winning limited overs bowler for Australia. As Gelman said Tait' potential was for everyone to see at the WC, even at the age of 24-25he has gone through a fair bit, he has had to cope with a lot of injuries time and again, questions have been asked about his action, all the media attention and hype surrounding him, and tbh i think Tait has handled it all as well anyone, if it won't have been for Tait' body that has time and again let him down (yup, that action of his doesn't help either, does it), we could have seen Tait do what he did in the WC a lot more consistently.
So therefore whenever Tait is fit, Australia should play him, because a guy who could bowl at that pace and get the ball to swing in both conventional and reverse fashion, is a huge asset.
Hi Luke (Puke) Watson. If Tait can't improve his stamina, he will only have a bit role in Aussie cricket.
Maybe one of the problems last night with SA was that they had too many Dutchmen in the team.
You mean white people? If Tait can't improve his stamina, he will only have a bit role in Aussie cricket.

Generally, yeah. Probably the only place you could fit him in though, and he's better at it than some other options.White needs time to get in.
Talking of the 2007WC, Shane Watson made a pretty good fist of it.Can't think of any player who can hit from ball one tbh.
0.1 Srinath to Wallace, SIX, launches into a huge shot over long off,Can't think of any player who can hit from ball one tbh.
Suspect (s)he meant Afrikaners as opposed to Anglo-Afrcians.You mean white people?
Yeah, but when a considerable majority of the white people consider themselves Dutch descendants it was an odd complaint.Suspect (s)he meant Afrikaners as opposed to Anglo-Afrcians.
Considering Watson can't bowl, he shouldn't be in the side ahead of the likes of David Hussey or Andrew Symonds. As in Shane Watson - player of the inaugural IPL 20/20 comp? Out of that list, I'd have Dave Hussey in for Hauritz or, honestly, Ponting.
Watson can not bowl due to stress fractures. You'd definitely want Tait in any 20/20 team. So what if he gets carted, most bowlers will in at least one of their four. But he's taken early wickets every time he's played one of these games, and if Bracken getting Gibbs didn't kill SA's realistic chances of chasing the score, Tait's next over certainly did. He's a massive weapon for any fielding team.
If you've got Watson and Hopes as all-rounders, D. Hussey, Clarke and White as batsmen who can split 4-6 overs between them, Lee's a fine number 9, Bracken at 10 and Tait at 11 isn't really a problem. You do want a strike bowler or two as well as batting down to 8 or 9 IMO.
