i think Hussey should be careful with that, i wont be trusting Pigeon to face so many balls just yet.

50 for Hussey now. Lovely shot to bring it up with. 277/9 as I type. If I were Fat Gray I'd bring Nel back on to see what McGrath's made of.

well played Hussey, wow what a player he has been for Australia this year has put a foot wrong.

That's consecutive overs where Fat Gray has given Hussey an easy single on the 5th ball so he can attack McGrath for the final ball. Surely you'd wanna keep Hussey on strike to have an over at McGrath?

i dont mind that from Smith, giving Australia much needed runs :p
Quite funny actually, Smith finally brings the field up & Hussey smacks Nel for two huge maximums! :D

Least they've finally got a whole over at McGrath.

Aside from the top-edge to get off the mark McGrath hasn't looked in any bother at all. Now 303/9. Think Hussey was on 27 when Kallis dropped his dolly. Ouch.

Amazing how Hussey seems to excel even in tests in the one day type situations such as this. It's the second brilliant knock he's played batting with the tail.

Deserves a century.

Doing just superbly isn't he. No doubt there are a couple of batsmen in the dressing room looking pretty sheepish about now. :p

Taylor absolutely scathing of Smith's tactics. Nice to have a commentator who does more than just describe what we've seen.

Very odd too, because Nel has gone past the outside edge a couple of times. With just the one slip if one takes it may be missed.

Great rearguard stuff tho, totally changed complexion of the game.

Fantastic, superb Hussey deserves all the accolades you can think of right now, he has turned this match on its head

I can root for Hussey because he plays for the mighty Durham, I'm sure Cricinfo's resident statistician is looking up lowest scores with two centuries at this very moment (this one should be fairly 'high' up the list) although it might not be that low a score by the time the 10th wicket is finally taken.

Michael Hussey is very, very good.

To think his younger brother David is knocking on the door for a game in the one day arena too!
