I was saying earlier to someone when the first wicket fell that it was important SA didn't lose another before lunch. I just don't think very highly of their middle-order right now.

Rudolph is decent but not a player who's likely to dominate against Australia. Prince is obviously unproven, and Kemp is similar. Without Kallis, things look very fragile once you get past number 3, and Gibbs has never had success against Warne, either. With Boucher's batting in decline, you'd really be worried as a South African fan about what might happen after the second or third wicket goes down.

To be fair it pitched right on leg stump. No way in the world he could be positive. It was the wrong decision but certainly not a bad piece of umpiring. The fulltoss to Simon Jones in the Ashes was the plumbest LBW not given.
