*Official* Semi Finals Thread

And that's why it was an abysmal result for the competition that this shower beat Brazil. A horribly one sided semi final.

Hopefully Morocco are a little more competitive tomorrow night.

If Argentina can channel this emotional energy into Sunday they'll absolutely wallop France the winner of the 2nd semi final.

Will be a lot more satisfying if Argentina win this year than if they had done so in 2014, given the inevitable Messi narrative. He was awarded player of the tournament then, but was far from his best. This time around he has been outstanding, it'd be a much better World Cup for him to be remembered for.

Have mentioned before how lucky we are to have Tyler calling a lot of the games for SBS here. I watched the game at the gym this morning with the sound down on the monitors, but heard the commentary of the third goal over the radio on my headphones afterwards.

he really is the Benaud of football. So understated, the way he called it. Just lets the pictures tell the story instead of imposing himself all over thing like so many sports commentators do these days.

Hoping Argentina go through here. Be great to see Messi play in the final, and it will really piss England fans off.
Not this one. I said before the tourney that I'd happily see Argentina win simply because of Messi (assuming that England probably wouldn't). Watching him play like this has been more enjoyable than anything I've seen in WCs for absolutely ages. And their fans have been great too.
