**Official** Semi Finals and Final

51.98 - The average partnership between Ricky Ponting and Damien Martyn in ODIs. In 62 innings they have added 3015 runs

46.36 - Andrew Symonds' average in ODIs won by Australia. Of his 25 fifty-plus scores, only one has been in a losing cause

Some telling stats about our middle order. A key ingredient to our dominance, and past two WC victories imo. I knew Ponting & Martyn had shared a fair few decent partnerships together, but i didn't realise their record was that darn good!

He was pretty lucky that he encountered a Bond who looked far short of his best.
Given what a ruined wreck Bond is, you'd have to consider yourself pretty unlucky to ever encounter him fit, to be frank.

Ryder is definitely better. Just much more talent. I think even most leymen like myself can see that when you watch the guy bat.

Time for Ryder and Taylor to become regular picks I think
A layman like yourself should also be able to see that he's about 20kg overweight and doesn't score any runs, hence his crap record.

Ryder doesn't have a good enough OD record to make it in the Black Caps at the moment, plus he has fitness problems that need to be worked on. If we played more tests he probably would be given a go but he's not much of an OD player yet.

Whatever it takes!!!
Can't see either the Windies or the Proteas defeating Australia in the finals, really. Even with their worst side, Australia are a tough side to defeat in the finals. They just have a way in the finals, don't they? They are just so used to winning them.

The first wicket falls for SAF pretty quick. 27-1, hits the pads and goes on to the stumps. If it didn't it would've been given LBW.

Boeta dropped, massive.

Fat Gray (Thanks Brumby :p) to ton up.
Hope you didn't put money on that.

Not expecting Bosman to make runs either, so it's an early entry for Kallis methinks.

Edit: Wow. Kallis ahead of Gibbs. Nice vote of confidence..."er, hang on, we'll put the guy who doesn't want to bat at three ahead of you, thanks."

This Bosman kid looks good.
Hmmm. I dunnno he seems to one-dimensional, he only plays backfoot shots with any sort of authority and he seems to be a blok, blok, hit type batter. If SAffies get thru I c Australia tearing him into shreds in the final.

Bosman out after a good innings of 39. SA 96/3. Gibbs is batting well for the first time this tournament.
