still can’t believe the situation of the game and England conceding like a 90 run lead the position they were in the start of the day. Aus really bowled well that 1st session, I know people questions the tactics and some the English batters got out recklessly. But most those bouncers were on the money with decent pace. And they didn’t let them score quickly like they have which also caused the wickets

... He's probably holding out for that very thing and might be secretly hoping that if he finishes Number 2 on the list that one day they'll expunge Murali's record for 'chucking'... so he effectively becomes de-facto all time leader wicket taker... lol
very likely. because we all know he is of suspect character to get there fairly

Warner's game wasn't great statistically but he did a proper job given the conditions he's had to face. Real old school opener's game, even his 25 today was a decent little innings in the circumstances.
Warner should be a template for how some of our batsmen approach the game.

He's a naturally attacking batsmen and at his peak got Australia off to many a flier.

But when the situation calls for it, whether that's the conditions or the match situation, more often than not he gets his head down and plays a conservative game.

Today was typical of that - 25 off 76 balls doesn't look anything to write home about, but it was a valuable knock. He played the situation and we had to prise him out with a good ball.

his had a better game this one compared to the last game. His strike rate is still worrying but and has dropped heaps in all formats. His not going to be able to defend out balls for long periods of time very often I think. But still a decent knock today

Also today goes to show with Starc. He shouldnt take the new ball or worry about swinging jaffas as much . His best role is to just come in later in the innings as an enforcer and bowl shorter with the odd Yorker kind of like a Mitch Johnson role. His still got heaps of pace

England have been the better side in both tests. They're just not getting the breaks.
Nah come on you can't be saying that when England have had all the fortune with the conditions on top of the opposition losing its most important bowler mid -innings. England have had more than enough luck in this game to not be in this position.

Edgbaston could have turned on a coin flip for sure but there can't be any excuses for this.

I actually agree but he honestly just doesn't do this a lot. He looks so much better when he's hitting the deck hard and throwing the odd one up rather than trying to get the magic ball every ball.

Lol wut

They had the best batting and bowling conditions this test and still ****ed it up. If the roles were reversed and Aust got to bowl and bat in times England did, this game is done

because him and Australia are too stuck on him bowling swinging jaffers which we know he can. But once he can’t get a wicket in his first spell he usually slows down now. In Odis and T20s it’s different because he can bowl with a lot of variety and in todays game with those formats batmen are always looking to take on everyone

In tests his 145kph plus bouncers will worry anyone, he just doesn’t have a good accurate stock ball to rely on when he can’t get swing
