I've softened on Lyon over the years and will happily accept he's been a very good Test cricketer but honestly wondering if this could make the Aus team signficantly stronger, for this series at least. Definitely would like Lyon fit and available for the home summer and most tours.

See how the rest of this game goes but if the Aussie bowling can make do without him, with Head doing what Root is doing for England, it could show that they didn't really need Lyon and he was just using up a spot.
