*Official* Second Test at Lord's

Pizzorno

State Vice-Captain
Well it looks as though Bresnan can attempt to justify his selection a lot earlier than planned. Dreadful England.

Woodster

International Captain
Stunning start from Australia, England need to get through this period with the new ball doing a bit and Australia obviously buoyant. Expect a different type of innings from Bell today if he stays around for a while, think he'll be a bit more fluent and free in his strokeplay if he can get himself in and set. Not going to be easy though, Harris bang on target here and Pattinson rightly back into the attack.

Good toss to lose? Day one always seems the best time to bowl at Lords, and given that it basically just doesn't deteriorate there's no demons batting last.

I went to see us play Sri Lanka on day 1 at Lords in 2011. We were 3 down in half an hour but ended the day 300-odd for 6, with Prior and Broad hitting fifties. Only difference is the opposition attack included Welegedara, Lakmal and Maharoof...

Edit: Morgan and Cook got 50s too, Broad's might have come the next day actually.
