Bresnan? What the **** is going on? Broad got a nightwatchman yesterday and now a better player is being used as a nightwatchman today

I honestly thought we'd bat well here with the pressure off.

And now we've brought out another night watchman, ridiculous IMO

Need to think about the bigger picture. Give our bowlers a rest and keep Australia's bowlers in the field for at least a day could pay dividends down the line.
I dont and never have bought that argument. Im not saying I am right, just saying I dont agree. Every game must be played independent of the rest unless it is the final game of the series.

Maybe they want a nightwathcman but don't think Anderson can survive over 20 minutes, so have sent Bresnan out instead.

Or they just rolled the dice and told Bresnan to show his worth with the bat.

I think it was Haddin's but I agree both should've gone. First slip should always fall in behind the keeper on those even if he thinks the keeper is going for it. It was an error of judgement from Haddin but just lazy from Clarke.
Not the first time either. It went between him and Watson(?) last innings and as the last man he should always be going for those. That's the job of the first slip.

I'll defend Watson and Haddin here. Clarke to his left is God-like. So just give the Clarke memo and there's no problem.

How good is Bells ton looking now.
I don't know how much you can increase the value of a knock because a lot of batsmen have thrown away wickets in the same game. Maybe there is a lot of pressure to perform but I do not think this pitch is a minefield.

Lehmann saying Watto's review was Rogers' fault and that's why he didnt want to review his own dismissal.

Jeez, England's top order hasn't been much chop so far this series
They've been a complete joke for over 18 months now, barring occasional innings from Cook or Pietersen. We appear to be soundly back in mid-1980s mode where a bunch of guys with big reputations thought they were the bees' knees because they could beat the worst Australian side in living memory but did naff all against anyone else. It's becoming increasingly difficult to have anything other than utter contempt for our top order. All of which still might leave me slightly less disgusted than our Aus contributors after today's events, but you can see us 'setting' Aus a target of around 350 at this rate, which is gettable, despite what we've seen to date. Clearly the option of digging in and setting something close to 600 simply didn't appeal to the lazy tossers.

Yet it's not the total road some of us were saying yesterday at this time.

It does have pace, a certain amount of movement, and a lot of dangerous (quite fast) spin.
