So tell me how many rookie players come into real cricket as better batsmen than established Test players then?
Who said they're better? Here's a tip: established Test players do struggle at domestic level at times... like all human beings.

In some countries (especially the weaker ones) they tend to dominate though. Look at NZ. Craig McMillan fails at international level time and time again but then goes back to domestic cricket and smashes bowling attacks to all parts.

And Stuart Williams, Daren Ganga, Graeme Hick, Mark Ramprakash and Rikki Clarke all score runs at domestic level. It works both ways. What's your point?

good comeback guys. nice team performance, although batting is a bit inconsistant.
lets take them down in the OD form as well.

You told us actually.

If these rookies are set up with better simming averages (and one of them also doubles as a keeper who rarle seems to drop anything) - then over time they're bound to perform better (!)

It happens from time to time. What I object is your obviously targeting the Colts because they played well against your team who has a quality bowling line-up. It was a one off, we have hardly been world beaters and we are not leading the comp by 100 points so I find your rookie power argument to be quite weak. Rookies tend to be inconsistent and that is what we (the Colts) have been. Occasionally rookies have a very good day and quality bowlers have an off day. Live with it!

Just get over it and lets get on with the cricket Marc. You've made your point so lets leave it until the end of the season. We have an important series against England we don't need a captain of one of our sides and a senior test player to be causing this kind of disturbance during the series. I, and I'm sure many others would be much happier if you leave the subject alone until a more appropriate time.

YAY some form for the Kearsley man.. bout bloody time :)

Good all round performance by the Blacks.. just unlucky we couldnt get the last 2 wickets to win the match. Atleast we are showing some real promising form. Lets keep it going boys.

The thing is, I am not targetting them for any reason that you state, I am continuing to highlight the inequalities.

Except that the fact that they're not dominating shows that there are no inequalities, just like last season.

When did I say that that Dev League rookies are beter than established Test players? Quote me.

Only a handful of rookies have better simming averages than experienced players. Most batting rookies have simming batting averages in the mid to low 30s when they begin. That's hardly spectacular.

Liam said only a handful of rookies have better SIMMING avges. that doesn't mean they're better.
