51. Couple of bad misses.

begs the question who has the most england caps without an ashes test?
47, and I managed to forget three guys who played in the most recent Ashes. series.
I do think there's a mistake in the list that they provide, which includes the wrong S. Mahmood. Hopefully that doesn't spoil the whole exercise for anyone.

As for your question, there won't be many who played more than Ben Foakes' 20 times without taking part in an Ashes test.

Sidebottom was a name I tried that prompted the question. He played 22.

Got 34 and the surprise that Steven Finn not Steve Finn played the Ashes

Being from Qld, this is the most stupid selection I've ever heard. Handscomb is already keeping in County averaging over 50 with bat. Easy cover for Carey while Inglis on baby watch
GAS will not like this
Sorry if you're jealous ?
Recently spent a few weeks in Port Douglas, lovely place

But then you go down to Cairns and the wildlife is a bit confronting, and no I am not talking about the crocs

Anyway not sure I could deal with the constant heat and mugginess but for a few weeks at a time it's great

You called?

Not wrong though, the idea that Handscomb is actually a realistic option with the gloves in international cricket of any variety, even as a fill in, is just completely insane
He's about Andy Flower or Rahul Dravid level as a keeper, but without the whole being an ATG bat thing
