BARNES OUT
Yeah I was going to mention the Hell in a Cell betwen Foley and HHH. I always enjoyed watching Shamrock go around.

EDIT: One of my favourite matches was Royal Rumble 2001, the ladder match between Jericho and Benoit. Good memories.

For some odd reason, the only feud I remember Shamrock being in is that horrible one he had with Val Venis, with his sister getting involved, and those zoom-ins through hotel room windows.

My favourite thing about that whole feud was when they had the match and Shamrock and his Sister were outside the ring and he was shouting at here right near the camera, and then there was a clearly audible "slap me" and when she hit him he got all aggro. It was funny as hell.

Recently, I watch wrestling and more and more, I miss The Rock. He was such a natural talent in Wrestling, mic skills were amazing and his charisma was off the charts. The show is lacking someone like him who can work a crowd in the palm of his hand.

I know what he did was horrible and ultimately unforgiveable, but I've been watching some Benoit tributes and footage on youtube. God, in my mind there's no better memory in wrestling than this one:

That moment still brings a tear to the eye.
Best Moment i ever saw while watching WWE

Four of my favourite wrestlers: Eddie, Angle, Benoit and Jericho.

Looking at how the three before him turned out, I'm sorta glad Jericho quit when he did.
as you said when talking to me on msn a few months ago Y2J got out at completely the right time, since his exit the decline of the wwe has accelerated massively, he was badly used for much of his time there, even as undisputed champion he was not used anywhere near to his full potential, and spent most of the rest of the time in wwe as fodder for pushing other superstars like cena...

on an unrelated subject i didnt think the angle vs guerrero match at WMXX was that great, some decent moves etc.. but it seemed like it never got going and the crowd werent really into it....

despite the bad ending i thought Y2J vs Christian was one of the best matches on the card...

Rock and Sock vs Evolution was great as well, and that DID have a good ending IMO.

wwe has gone downhill since they lost the rock and stone cold and replaced them with john cena and batista
where thats obviously true its not really fair to put the decline of the wwe down to those two men leaving, at the point they left they still had a load of great talent at their disposal.

my favourite wwf/wwe moment.....

the debut of Chris Jericho...

The return of Stone cold at Backlash 2000 (one of the best main events ever as well)

Edge spearing jeff hardy off the ladder at WM17....

Pedigree on the thumb tacks (royal rumble 2000)

probably a few more in my head somewhere....i'll have a think..

I thought the invasion was a great time in WWF history. My blood was pumping when Stone Cold unleashed on the whole alliance before turning heel.

very true, and it was a great storyline...but after a while the it became obvious that the alliance was pretty thin in terms of big names, Kurt Angle joining the alliance seemed very rushed and obvious that they needed to put a big star onto the alliance team, i'm not really aware of the circumstances surrounding all the old wcw stars, but say were the inaugarl brawl at invasion Stone Cold, Jericho, Undertaker, Kane and Kurt Angle vs Hogan, Goldberg, Sting (unlikely to ever have happened i know), Flair and RVD that would have been so much better..

having just seen the saveus.222 promo aired on the last episode of RAW......got to say i'm quite excited about what happens next...

if wwe dont leak a spoiler onto the net about what is going to happen this could be a really decent wwe moment, similar to the great moments of old....

i really hope it is signalling the return of Y2J at No Mercy....anything else would come as a bit of a dissapointment as the promo would suggest jericho is set for a comeback...

They'll leak it onto the internet and ruin it for everyone.

Damn, you guys are making me wish i'd got into wrestling when it was so much better.

So guys what's the best match so far in 2007? What do you say?

The only big match I really enoyed so far this year that I can remember was the Royal Rumble match, dunno why but this year I found it to be a very fun match to watch, even though they're generally just punch and kick and cuddle on the rope-fests. Though I miss the days when they used to have the one random entry in the Royal Rumble. I'll never forget how hard I laughed the time when Gillberg came out and did his ghetto straining faces on the ropes and then got tossed over, and did his little goldberg pose and screamed at the dude who threw him out. And then when Bob Backlund came out, got eliminated and randomly decided to walk through the crowd.

But yeah with the loss of Benoit and Kurt Angle and people like that and being without HHH for most of the year, 2007 has been pretty crap for big matches, mostly involving people like Batista and Khali and Cena just doing their boring crappy power thing.

Actually, the one I mentioned before, Punk/Morrison for the ECW title may be right up there, that match was class. ECW could be so awesome again if they stopped being obsessed with huge people and stupid gimmicks and used ECW like it was back when it was the real ECW, with all the smaller guys and stuff. If they drafted people like Shelton Benjamin and Gregory Helms and stuff like that to fued with Morrison, Punk and Elijah Burke, ECW would easily be the most interesting out of the three shows.

Not Terrible
Cena's not that bad really, IMO he's technically superior to the likes of The Rock, pretty strong too, just get tired of watching the Batista style matches though.

Really not that fond of a lot of the roster. And FFS Undertaker is not THAT good. He's one of the worst actual wrestlers to ever hit the big time, he's tough and can be thrown around better than any big man but jeez he's never been that pleasing to the eye with his style. I think Kane is technically superior to him.
