watching back highlights from as little as 2 years ago on youtube is driving home how poor WWE is at the moment, sad days.

well....despite it being in a truly dire state with all the reason suspensions etc...WWE looks like it will receive a welcome boost as it appears Chris Jericho will soon make his return to RAW (hopefully not smackdown), which may make it worth watching again, for a while anyway....poor sod will have to carry the show by himself for the most part.

No greatest video ever would use a song that **** :p But yeah, gets the point across.

Still, it's not all bad. The ECW title match where CM Punk beat John Morrison for instance was a gem of a match, real good stuff.

I thought the song was perfect for it.

Nothing will equal it i fear. (I mean in terms of WWE quality, not the video)

That video brings back so many memories, might download a bunch of old PPV's. I watched my copy of No Mercy where Brock Lesnar beat Undertaker in the Cell, that was awesome.

I want to get a copy of the Wrestlemania with the first TLC match. That spear from the top of the ladder to (Jeff?) Hardy hanging from the belts was my favourite wrestling memory ever.

Edge at WM 17. That was phenomenal

Wasn't the first TLC match, though. That was at Summerslam 2000.

Let's have a favourite match type thing:

1) Chris Benoit v Kurt Angle - Royal Rumble 2003.
2) Mick Foley v Triple H (Street fight) - Royal Rumble 2000
3) The double header at WM XX. Guerrero v Angle and then Michaels v Benoit v HHH. Guerrero and Benoit in the ring at the end nearly made me cry. What a moment.

I know it wasn't the first.

Just thinking about favourite matches right now, I'll never forget when Mankind became WWF Champion after defeating The Rock on Raw

I know what he did was horrible and ultimately unforgiveable, but I've been watching some Benoit tributes and footage on youtube. God, in my mind there's no better memory in wrestling than this one:

That moment still brings a tear to the eye.

Awta completely. What he did really doesn't tarnish that memory for me. It's too powerful.

The primary reason for that is Eddie, someone who beat his demons and got to the top of the food chain. And his emotions at being joined by his best friend at that very same peak is clear on his face. It didn't matter to Eddie that he had won the title 3 weeks before that. Wrestlemania XX was where he celebrated. More than fifteen years of hard work put in by both of them paid off big time that night.

What does, however, tarnish that moment is that I, along with half the world, thought it was the beginning of a new era for wrestling. We all know how that ended up.

Also, both of them are gone. :(

By pure skill and showmanship you could never go past the likes of Eddie, Benoit and Jehrico. From what I've read they were all good friends, it's a really shame the way things have turned out.

I remember watching Wrestlemania XX with about 5 of my mates on PPV and we were all sitting around in my loungeroo and we just erupted when HHH fiiiiinally tapped. It was such a good day.

Four of my favourite wrestlers: Eddie, Angle, Benoit and Jericho.

Looking at how the three before him turned out, I'm sorta glad Jericho quit when he did.

Yeah that was a fantastic moment. Reminded me of Summerslam 92 when British Bulldog won the Intercontinental title off Bret Hart (what a classy match that was, too.)

Speaking of favourite matches, there are way too many to pick from for me. The first one that sprang to mind, completely randomly (and it's a pretty random match, too), was the 10 man tag team match from Canadian Stampede In Your House in 97 I think it was. The Heart Foundation (Bret, Owen, Bulldog, Jim Neidhart and Brian Pillman) vs Stone Cold, Ken Shamrock, Goldust and L.O.D. I loved that match so much, I think they pulled it off perfectly, with the face offs and the out of the ring brawling and the muggings and Owen and Austin both getting injured and coming back out.

Cactus Jack and HHH in Hell in the Cell for Foley's last match was a good one. So was the Steet Fight they had at the Royal Rumble. Also, Shane-o Mac against Test in that Street Fight for Stephanie ages ago was good as well. Kurt Angle against HHH at Royal Rumble 2001 was the match where I first realised how awesome Kurt was.

I could go through loads more but cba.
