Sean "X-Pac" Waltman made a surprise appearance at the 9/8 RAW brand house show in Tampa, Florida. After DX defeated Trevor Murdoch & Lance Cade in match, X-Pac came down to ringside to celebrate with them. Both Triple H and Shawn Michaels looked surprised by his arrival. X-Pac wore street clothes and he did some crotch chops.

At the moment, it is unclear if Waltman has re-signed with WWE or if this was simply a one time thing due to his nearby residence in Tampa. Back in May and June, there had been some rumblings about him joining DX.

rumour has it that WWE are planning to have DX (x-pac, hh, hbk) vs NWO (hogan, nash, hall) sometime soon, anyone else hear about this?

Yes I've heard about it. There was an apparant Survivor series poster ( i think) with Dx v nWo on it.

It's possible i supose. Nash is free from TNA and Hall is training. I don't think Hogan should be in it though.

Randy Orton is the first WWE wrestler to fail a drug test under the WWE Talent Wellness Program's new guidelines - which recently went into effect. Despite his failure in a recent drug test, he will not be pulled off the road. He will continue to appear on both TV and PPV shows, but as a general rule, he is not supposed to appear on house shows for 30 days. Orton didn't appear at any house shows this weekend. For that matter, he hasn't appeared at a house show in about a month.

Under the old guidelines, Orton would have been taken off the road for 30 days due to suspension. Also, he would have lost one month's worth of salary. Under the new guidelines, he will continue to work TV and PPV shows, but he will only have his road expenses covered and receive no bonuses for the shows. The only non-change in the new guidelines is that he will have his downside guarantee docked for 30 days.

WWE recently changed their guidelines because they didn't want to have to interrupt storylines or change PPV matches if a wrestler was to fail a drug test. WWE officials weren't happy with how things went down for the Great American Bash PPV back in July, and with the results for drug tests for RAW talent just now coming in, they didn't want to risk messing up their plans for the Unforgiven PPV.

This is preety interesting:

--Regarding Chris Kanyon and Sean Waltman last night, Waltman was invited to the show by HHH. He hasn't been signed and was just a guest, but there is a movement to bring back 90s stars right now so it wouldn't shock me if he gets another shot. Kanyon I'm told bought a front row ticket and shot his own angle. Security kicked him out. For what it's worth, Kanyon told security it was an angle he had cleared with Stephanie. They didn't know about it if that's the case, nor did anyone else.

Dave Hawk and Kurt Angle met with WWE officials last Friday morning, and Angle was told that he needed to get help for his prescription painkiller addictions. They told him to go to rehab and then return to the company once he was clean, which is something they've done for tons of other men throughout the years. Angle, despite the story that was weaved on WWE.com and in the press releases, does not believe he has an issue with painkillers, and so he flat-out refused to go to rehab or seek any kind of help whatsoever.

Vince McMahon then fired him. It was not a release, nor a mutual agreement. Angle refused to get treatment for his illness, so Vince was left with the only real option the company had at that point, which was to fire him. Whether it was to send a message or to protect the interests of the company or Angle himself, the end result is that Angle was released from his job. His no-compete clause remains in effect and will expire near the end of November.

Kurt Angle is not going to rehab, and he's not going home to let his body heal up. He'll probably go rest for three months or so, because at that point his no compete clause expires and WWE officials expect him to sign a contract with TNA. In fact, WWE officials actually encourage him to go to TNA, because he'll be working a much more limited scheduled, and the lack of house show tours will allow him to greatly rest up between shows. He'll make $500,000 or so per year to wrestle 5 times per month, and WWE sources believe that he can get his pain levels back down to a manageable level by working for the smaller promotion. There are also those in WWE that believe that Vince McMahon actually WANTS Angle to go and work for TNA, because he's apparently realized in this very late mid-life crisis he's currently enduring that he's a much better businessman and much more creatively inclined when he actually has competition to try and defeat. By signing Angle and perhaps Bill Goldberg, TNA would earn themselves a bigger place on the map and could perhaps instantly jump to that two-hour timeslot they so desire.

My TNA source tells me that they're a bit hesitant to sign Kurt, but that it's already being discussed internally. They realize that if they bring in the incredibly damaged Angle, they're going to need built-in safeties in his contract to help him avoid getting to the point he was at near the end of his WWE run. If TNA does eventually tour, Kurt Angle will likely not be on a majority of those house shows and instead will stick to the television shows and pay per view events. Since he'll instantly be the biggest star in the company, they will be able to market him as a special attraction much the way WWE does with Undertaker, thereby giving him more time to heal, reduce his addictive need for painkillers, and perhaps extend his career (and his life) by many years

It would be absolutely awesome for TNA and for fans to see Kurt Angle in TNA. The entire world would sit up and take notice, and Angle's presence would seriously boost TNA to a position where they could seriously compete with WWE. The reduced schedule could also be really good for Angle.

But I think the best option for Angle is to just take a rest, go into rehab and get rid of his addictions. I don't think he should wrestle competitively until he fixes up his drug problem and regains his health.

Kurt Angle will be dead in 10-15 years, if he starts wrestling again, it'll be 5. Sad, but true.

What?!?!?!

KURT ANGLE IS IN TNA!!!!!

Apparently, that was TNA's big announcement!

This is HUGE!

Plus TNA got a 2 hour time slot on Spike TV. Looks like competition is heating up!

I still stick by my original post here, but this signing will make the entire world aware of what TNA is about. The good thing about it from Angle's point of view is the reduced workload. He'd probably be only working once a month, and not travelling at all. It's a really good arrangement, and it shows how dedicated the guy is and how much he loves his sport.

Imagine,

Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle
AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle
Christopher Daniels vs Kurt Angle
Christian Cage vs Kurt Angle

It's absolutely fantastic, although I do fear for the guy's safety. But what reassures me is that the reduced workload will help him out, and will allow time to heal between his matches, where as his WWE schedule was just full on all the time with putting on matches and travelling.

I'm not sure about you guys but i just can't force myself to watch WWE right now. Its just terrible. I guess after watching the attitude era it would be hard for anything else to compare, but WWE aren't exactly doing themselves any favours.

I lost interest when Austin and Rock finished up. Is Jericho still going around? I liked him when he was a face, but when he turned heal they made him actually suck, as opposed to being a decent villian. Edge and him put on a good match when they came to Melbourne a few years ago (Global Warning tour) - Edge explaining what ****** means = classic.

Its nice to see Edge and Christian finally getting rewarded for their early struggle, I still wish to see them together one day doing their 5 second pose.

Austin was always my favourite, and his feuds with Rock were classic. Jericho is gone though

Fozy isn't any more popular than before, but he left in order to pursue it anyway. In fact, they are doing some sort of video for TNA
