Ok, you've sold it to me MB, so it better be like you say, or I'll be sad :p

On a side note, just been watching the RAW from when Eddie Guerrero died, and there are some awesome matches on that show. Just finished watching Shelton Benjamin vs Kurt Angle, what a match that was.

Edit: HBK v Rey was pretty great as well, and as far as I can remember it was the only ever time they had a one on one match.
They had a match on Smackdown last year as well.

RE MITB - anyone know if that will be part of Mania now that it has its ppv?

If it is, tempted to agree with sledger re Dolph, but Morrison is up there

I honestly think these are for The Undertajer. If Sting does end up showing up, I'd imagine it would be as a result of them changing plans very late. From what Meltzer says, there was no contact before the videos aired between the WWE and Sting but the speculation has at least interested both parties.

Don't think it'll happen but, and he'll return to TNA.
I still think it's Sting. Wrestling websites saying that there has been no contact should be taken with a pinch of salt. Every good surprise in wrestling these days is kept so secret that generally only the inner sanctum of the top people in the company know about it. I have no doubt that confidentiality agreements would have been signed as well.

I thought I'd post the link to the Starrcade 97 promo as well as the WWE 2-21-11 promo. Looks and sounds familiar doesn't it?

I think it is certain that Undertaker is coming to Raw on 2/21/11, it is a question of whether there will be a second return/debut, that night.

Just BTW, my money is on the return of the Main Event Mafia! How awesome would that be!

I don't pay any attention to Meltzer these days. A lot of his comments in the last twelve months have indicated he isn't actually watching much wrestling anymore (he's more into MMA) and as for his 'leaked' Wrestlemania card - it was hardly full of exclusives, I could have predicted the lot just from following what's going on. The NY times reported that Sting has signed, they are just as reliable as Meltzer et al IMO.

UGO.com has posted a list counting down the top 25 most overrated wrestlers of all-time. The ranking is topped by 13-time world champion Triple H, who was named Most Overrated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards on three consecutive occasions (2002-2004), and again in 2009.

Regarding the self-proclaimed "King of Kings", UGO.com wrote: "For too long, Triple H has received a free pass from internet wrestling fans, but we say, "No more!" Sure, he used to be great, but that was before he destroyed his body and moved on to destroying the careers of younger wrestlers. Folks these days like to say that "The King of Kings" makes people into stars, but wrestlers tend to either succeed despite the terrible, emasculating beatings he gives them or just disappear back into the midcard. What's worse is that he does it all with the same four boring, mechanical moves - a fact which goes strangely unnoticed by the world's Cena-bashers, who tend to love "The Game." If Triple H was as great as people say he is, the past 13 years of constant pushes shouldn't have just turned him into another Rock or "Stone Cold," it should have gotten him elected King of the Universe.

"And The Chaperone looks atrocious."

The complete ranking is as follows:

25. Diesel
24. Arn Anderson
23. Alberto Del Rio
22. Jerry Lynn
21. Shelton Benjamin
20. Verne Gagne
19. Jeff Jarrett
18. Sabu
17. Finlay
16. Christopher Daniels
15. Mr. Anderson
14. William Regal
13. Indy Geeks (Mike Quackenbush pictured)
12. Randy Orton
11. Gorgeous George
10. Scott Hall
9. Dean Malenko
8. Owen Hart
7. Christian
6. Curt Hennig
5. Miss Elizabeth
4. Jerry "The King" Lawler
3. Giant Baba
2. Hulk Hogan
1. Triple H
Hmmmmm.....Don't think I really agree with the majority of that, but thought I'd post it anyway. In fact there are many on that list I completely disagree with being there, will maybe post a more in depth run down later.

Key word is overrated. It doesn't mean they are crap, just that they are talked to a disproportionate level compared to the quality of their matches/performances.

I am huge fans of Christian, Hennig and Owen Hart. But I think it's fair to say they are talked up too often. You can sometimes argue they didn't have the opportunity to deliver what they are truly capable of (particularly Christian) but the facts are there.

From those I've seen...
- Triple H is awesome. That entrance, the seemless transition from mega-heel to mega-face is brilliant and his ring work is sound.
- Christian is awesome. Cuts a great promo and can work a crowd really well.
- Owen Hart was solid, perhaps overrated.
- Dean Malenko wrestled some top matches in his WWE stint, which is all I saw of him.
- Randy Orton is poor, imo. Did not deserve his push, is dreadful on the mic, absolutely cringeworthy in the ring with his weird viper poses, but hey - the fans absolutely love him and you can't teach that.
- William Regal wrestles some excellent matches and cuts a good promo, how is he overrated?
- Alberto Del Rio is my hero.

I would say give Christian the belt, and my friend has mentioned that he sees a possible Triple Threat at Mania with a returning Christian Vs Edge Vs Del Rio; but the Smackdown title means so little that it would barely help him. When Jack Swagger won the title and was so consistently buried before fading into the midcard, it devalued anything that title had - same with Kane's forgettable run, marked by the weird Edge-Paul Bearer segments.

Really? I'd never suggest Randy was a Kurt Angle quality in ring worker, but cringeworthy? No way. He's not got the most expansive list of moves, but he works fantastically well within his capabilities and has got the psycology and basics nailed on pretty damn well. He's not exactly Mr Charisma on the mic, I appreciate that, but his character doesn't really require him to expand on that and it works well. Some of his promos from earlier in his career around the time he feuded with Mick Foley etc.. demonstrate that he's got it in him to do a deliver a solid promo and so on, in fact his ring work from around that time shows he's no slouch in that regard either.

Randy Orton poor? WTF?????????????????????????????????? No-one can touch him for psychology and storytelling and I'm not even a big fan. Guy is a great and only just getting to his prime.

And how does the Smackdown title not mean anything, what's this based off? Aside from Swagger's experimental run (getting tons of mic time and putting on great matches on TV and PPV isn't being buried, btw), the last few holders: Edge, Kane, Rey Rey, Jericho, Undertaker

HUGE names. There is zero basis for saying it means little. It's the belt being held by the 'safe' champ while they took a chance with thw WWE title and gave it to The Miz. It's paid off huge but you see my point.

As for sledger's list - the idea that Triple H is overrated on the internet baffles me. Most of the web blames him for all wrestling-related deaths IIRC.

It's perculiar that Hogan is on the list as well tbh, there's no doubt that he draws (or at least drew) absolutely huge, and I doubt that even his most devoted fans would make a case for him being a great grappler (in fact I would go so far to say that his ring work was for a long time underated), so I'm not really sure how you could suggest he was overated.

Predictions for the WM Host that will be announced later tonight? I'll predict (somewhat hopefully) that it'll be Rock, Lesnar or Goldberg. Really hope that the announcement isn't a dud or some lame celebrity involvement.
