Great episode of RAW I thought. The segments involving Cena and Nexus were great. The segment involving Edge, Michael Cole and the Miz was awesome as well. Even the Johnny Knoxville, DiBiase and Goldust segment was hilariously great as well. Goldust WAG, was just thinking the other day about how good it would be to see him get on TV a bit more.

Yes, Raw has been tremendously strong this year. It looks like we have already set up the captains for Bragging Rights too, with Edge and the Miz launching on a bit of a rivalry before Edge leaves for SyFy.

The battle royal segment was excellent too. It will be interesting to see how the Nexus storyline evolves, with Tarver's rapid exile, Otunga's dissention and the fact that Darren Young made a rather underwhelming return on Raw. Swimming pool and Harris appear to be joining Nexus in the near future too and so it looks like it will be a good launching pad for two more promising rookies.

I imagine (and hope) that the Otunga segment where he comforted Cena is something that will lead to a Cena heel turn. The Mark in me would really hate that though. Can feel a "why John why?" thing coming on tbh. Pretty emotive storyline tstl though, at the moment it is a bit of a must watch regardless of how it develops.

Was really interested in watching RAW last night but ended up giving up on it because the amount of advert breaks started to properly take the piss. Remember checking the time at exactly 2:45 as it went to adverts, came back to RAW, showed Daniel Bryan in the ring who got killed by Sheamus in about a minute, showed Edge walking to the ring and then went back to adverts at 2:52. Come the **** on. Was at least the 4th ad break in a 45 minute period.

Yeah, the ad breaks are something that really REALLY get on my nerves as well. Is why I never watch anything other than a PPV live because it just gets on my nerves so much. I recorded last night's one on sky plus and was able to get through them pretty quickly this morning, but even so it struck me that there were an incredible amount of them. I guess it's fairly normal to get that kind of thing in the US, but blimey, dunno how people can put up with that. Was bad enough when watching the football highlights on ITV and they had one or two breaks every 45 mins.

I think it's even worse for me 'cause when I was big into wrestling was back when they aired RAW on a different network that had no ad breaks so it was just two unbroken hours, which was fantastic. I hope they go back to a channel that airs them without ads whenever their current contract with the one they're on now runs out, it really takes away from the show. The biggest annoyance for me is when it goes to ads halfway through a match, so inane.

Yeah, I remember the good old days when Smackdown was on Sky 1, pretty sure you didn't have nearly as many ad breaks back then. Certainly none during matches. The breaks during matches used to annoy me quite a lot with regards to the legitimacy of the whole thing (no matches ever ending during a commercial break or whatever) but I have kind of got used to that nowadays and it doesn't really pose a problem for me. Worst thing about them is the break ending and Michael Cole saying "omg during the break you missed this!" and then they show a replay of some insane spot. Keep it for not during the break ffs.

It's not so much the fact that we miss half the match that annoys me (although that is stupid), but rather that it's not enitrely necessary. Why do they cut 4 minutes out of a match and then "treat" us to a segment of the Bella Twins playing with their hair in the general direction of some inane celebrity? Does anyone really care that much? Read a report the other day that they're saying they're going to cut back on wrestling on smackdown as well and put in more "entertainment" to get it to the same level as RAW. I dunno, maybe i'm just some miserable old school fan or something but it just seems like they have their priorities wrong. Not entirely sure about this but wouldn't they have to know in advance when the ad breaks are scheduled? Surely TV Channels have this sort of thing planned out in advance. So much dross they could put in the ad breaks without taking away from the main portion of their product, the actual in ring action. blah.

What an awesome episode of Raw, just so so good. Wow.

Majin, my advice is that you either Sky+ it or catch it on a Thurs where there are half as many ad breaks because it's the UK edit :)

Tbf you still get more or less the same amount of adverts during the thursday showing as well, just that they are adverts for the upcoming WWE tours rather than general adverts for shower gel or whatever the hell else gets advertised at 2am in the morning.

Well yeah, they don't go to a break they do the tour ads, but they are generally much shorter than the ad breaks and at least relevant

Yeah that is true. Occasionally get a don't try this at home, which is usually good value as well. Or the make a wish videos, always like those. John Cena has never come and granted my wish though :(

Anyone see Smackdown? Rey Rey-Alberto was immense
Yep it sure was. Great match there. Alberto Del Rio is a real find for them. Hopefully he's going to be a huge star.

It's been a busy week so I haven't had time to log on and post in this thread. Raw was pretty good. Liked the storyline progression with John Cena and Nexus.

But did they have to job out Daniel Bryan to Sheamus that quickly? Couldn't they have gotten someone like Primo instead?

NXT, well the less said the better. It's completely online and not worth commenting on really. TNA Impact was pretty solid this week. Mickie James is now with TNA. I think everyone saw her move to TNA coming.

Bound for Glory on tomorrow. Should be a decent show and I'm looking forward to seeing Kurt Angle vs Jeff Hardy vs Ken Anderson.

I hardly ever post predictions for TNA PPV's but because it is Bound for Glory, their version of Wrestlemania coming up I thought I'll post some brief predictions.

Ink Inc. vs Orlando Jordan and Eric Young:

Seems like this was just slapped onto the PPV at the last minute. Two strange teams here but I think Ink Inc. should win.

Handicap Match - Kevin Nash, Sting and The Pope vs Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe:

I think Sting, Kevin Nash and The Pope win this one but I have no idea why these guys are feuding, let alone in a match at TNA's biggest PPV of the year.

Lethal Lockdown - Fortune vs EV2.0:

Fortune have to go over here. They are one of the best things going in TNA with their best young stars. There's no reason why EV2.0 should win. They should look strong because it's their type of match, but Fortune need the win here.

Monster's Ball - Abyss vs Rob Van Dam:

So RVD gets injured thanks to Abyss, vacates his TNA World Championship and then comes back from injury before they can crown a new champion and doesn't choose to be a part of the TNA World Championship match? That is ridiculous booking. Abyss has said he will reveal who "THEY" are. Quite frankly, I don't care. Although I do think Abyss will win and "THEY" will interfere.

TNA Knockouts Championship Match - Angelina Love vs Velvet Sky vs Madison Rayne vs Tara:

Have no idea who will win this, but since Mickie James is probably next in line for the TNA Knockouts Championship, I will go for Madison Rayne to retain the face vs heel dynamic during the next couple of feuds.

TNA X Division Championship Match - Jay Lethal vs Douglas Williams:

I'll say Jay Lethal wins here.

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match - The Motor City Machine Guns vs Generation Me:

This match will be amazing. The Guns are awesome as are Generation Me and they work really well together. I think the Guns will come out on top here.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match - Kurt Angle vs Jeff Hardy vs Ken Anderson:

This should be a great match with three top guys in the main event. Just having Kurt Angle there will make this the best match of the night. The main storyline here was that if Kurt Angle doesn't win this match, he will retire. I think the news was that Kurt Angle has signed a one year deal with TNA so it doesn't look like he's heading back to the WWE yet. I think Kurt Angle wins here.

Enjoy the show guys, if anybody decides to watch it.
