Yeah, my housemate is clamouring for a women's match as he needs a smoke break. Crowd could do with the breather.

I wish you'd **** off with Smackdown spoilers, I really do. Some of us actually like watching wrestling, not just reading about it

I did call that match as well tbf, just not on this forum. I can prove it later though

Haha, technically not a spoiler imo...actually yeah it is.

Sorry again. Will never do it again. Promise.

RVD now a member of the TNA roster if reports are to be believed. Much as I love RVD and it will be good to see him work again, this is just another case of hiring a WWE has been, even if he does still have a lot to offer.

His best days were about thirteen years ago tbf. Got a link for that mate?
TNA star Hulk Hogan appeared on radio host Jim Kerr's "Rock 'n Roll Morning Show" this morning from New York City and strongly hinted that Rob Van Dam has signed with TNA Wrestling.

"We got a lot of young kids now like A.J. Styles and Jeff Hardy and we've got a bunch of surprises coming up with some guys that just signed - I didn't even tell Jimmy [Hart] about it. I found out about it last night.

Hogan then pointed to himself (like RVD does when saying his name) and said, "It's going to be really crazy."

With all the talk of TNA having several "major surprises" planned for Monday's live iMPACT! debut, it appears the chances of RVD showing up are looking pretty good.

Fair enough.

Mind you, he mentions Jeff but I read somewhere that he isn't actually under contract. Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't bother going back.

Will be interested in the ratings on Monday. Can't see it eating into Raw's audience, Vince-Cena should comfortably outdraw Hogan/AByss-Flair/Styles but we shall see

Haha yeah, his mention of them having "signed" Jeff Hardy strikes me as being very dubious.

But yeah, as for the ratings, we will wait and see. Like you, I would be staggered if WWE's rating takes any sort of significant drop, it will be interesting to see what kind of ratings TNA pulls in though, if they bomb massively then that will be incredibly funny. One aspect that they have factored in and timed pretty well though is the end of the NFL season. If TNA was going up against Monday Night Football and RAW on the same slot then they really would be buggered.

TNA can sign who ever they want, it's not going to make any difference. They still won't be able to compete with WWE. I like RVD, he's always been one of my favourite performers but as GIMH said, he's past his prime a little bit and while it was great to have him enter the Royal Rumble last year, he looked really sloppy and a little out of shape.

Even if TNA were to somehow sign The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels at the same time, they still wouldn't be able to compete with WWE. Look at the difference Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair made. After two weeks their ratings are exactly the same as they've always been.

I won't be able to watch Impact so I've just read the report now, even reading that makes me feel dirty, it's so bad, I can't actually believe we're gonna see Hogan-Flair

I think eventually there will be a mass exodus of TNA talent. Awesome Kong is apparently already gone, you have to wonder how long will it be until the likes of Christopher Daniels, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin leave too.

I watched my Eddie DVD a coupe of weeks back and the Eddie-Rvd Ladder match on RAW had to be one of the best TV matches ever. Quite incredibe, still gives me goosebumps watching some of the bumps they took. Just boody spectacuar. Eddie's heel Latino Heat entrance and mullet were moments to treasure as well. He was just such an awesome heel.

Was the Cheating Life, Stealing Death one before he died. 4 discs sounds about right. Not sure what compelled me to watch it, probably the Rvd match, Jericho match and the Hair-Mask match he had with Mysterio in WCW(another awesome, awesome match. Combined flight with masterful technicians. Incredible)

EDIT: Actually twas two discs. The 4 discer must have been the one after he died.

DWTA on that one. If they actually signed the Rock, I think it would make things very interesting. That said, it's never going to happen in a million years.

Haha, I love how on that DVD they edit out the fan running into the ring and Eddie trying to beat him down. But you're right, absolutely great match, iirc there is one nasty botch where the ladder falls down on it's side and Eddie falls on top of it. The Sunset flip powerbomb though, that was epic. Argaubly the finest match either of them had whilst in the WWE.
