I agree, but I imagine the "fight" Bret and Vince will have will consist of no more than Bret maybe getting in a few punches/chair shots and locking him in the sharpshooter, there is no way a legit match of any substantial length can be made out of it surely. Cena and Batista has gone beyond Vince/Bret yes, but Vince has been integral to the whole thing, and with Cena being close knit with Bret for the last few weeks it all ties very closely together, I might be wrong, but imo there will be some sort of cross involvement for WM. I reckon in fact, that there might be a stip on the Batista/Cena match, say if Cena wins Vince is forced to spend 5 mins in the ring with Bret or whatever, and Bret will sit up from his "broken leg" ala Linda McMahon from the wheelchair at WM17.
Yeah, Bret doing a Linda I could see happening.

TBH we'll probably all be wrong - that's why I LOVE this time of year.

Am I the only one who thinks the Hart Dynasty are way overrated? I think they are gaining loads of Internet support by connection alone, they don't interest me at all.

Also, you'd be pushing credibility to blame Bulldog's death on WWE, it was WCW's fault really. Though I suppose you could do a chain of causation as he wouldn't have been in WCW but for the screwjob...

Isn't it a bit of an urban myth to claim Jericho is from the dungeon?
Haha, Jericho did at least train there for a bit iirc.

As for the Hart Dynasty, I think they're alright. Have a decent enough image and work a decent match. Haven't done anything to really capture my imagination mind you, though to be fair they haven't really been given any sort of meaningful program to work since their debut.

Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Randy Orton - The Fathers Of All Three Men Will Be In Their Corners.
Interesting idea, quite like it actually. Funny how Cody Rhodes is being made to look like a right jackass at the moment, running in to assist Orton just as he is about to score a pinfall...yeah nice one. Enjoying how Orton is getting insane pops at the moment as well, despite supposedly being one of the most evil people to have ever walked the earth.

Tbh the only person from the dungeon currently in the E who is high profile enough to represent Bret on this scale is Jericho, and a face turn for him and shunting him in here was never going to happen. DH Smith is nowhere near over enough for this sort of role, and I cannot see them EVER doing a storyline regarding Bulldog's or anyone elses death and blaming it on the company, probably the last thing they would ever want to do given what has happened to various workers over the last few years.
DH Smith is not nearly over enough, you are right, but this Bret feud can give it to him. You do not have to be a ring tactician to make it as a big guy, you just need a push and there is plenty of time to Wrestlemania.

Haha, would be interesting, what with Ted Sr. getting inducted by Ted Jr. the night before. Plenty of history between Million Dollar Man & Dusty and all. Three way seems logical to me, and they've shied away from this being too predictable or formulaic.

Not enough time if you ask me, if this was a year or so down the line, then maybe. But you can't get DH Smith up to the level required to effectively headline the biggest event of the year in the space of 6 weeks, how the fans have reacted to Sheamus being given an insane push is evidence enough of this.

I think Sheamus gets decent heat tbf
I think he does too, but I think a lot of that is legit heat and just general resentment from his insane push. His title reign seems to have gone down pretty badly (particularly with the IWC - what a surprise) amongst most, though I don't really have much of a problem with it myself.

Well, I've made it pretty clear that I think Sheamus is genuinely awesome - real traditional heel. Him and Punk are by far, my two favourite wrestlers.

I think he's good too, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the guy, think he's prety damn good. But I don't think his push has gone down all that well.

Looks like the MITB is going ahead after all, with the qualifiers starting tonight, quite pleased about that. Looks like we get Cena vs Batista live on RAW as well, itstl. And as predicted, Jericho and Edge to face each other at WM, good news.

Punk vs Mysterio would be a show stealer, were it not for the fact that HBK/Taker will likely be on the same card. The Punk/Mysterio match from about two years ago was a match of the year candidate, and probably Punk's best match in the WWE since he joined. Having them face each other again in a PPV quality match imo would not at all be a waste, esspecially considering Punk isn't going to get any meaningful feud elsewhere with all the big names already booked up.

As for the triple threat...hmm...not sure, much as I love Christian, he would have to be pushed pretty hard for him to be legitimately involved in this match, it would also detract from the Edge/Jericho storyline which has been building for the best part of a year, so I wouldn't be in favour of this, though it would no doubt be a good match. With Edge now face though, a Christian heel turn is probably in the works and an Edge/Christian feud will almost certainly happen a few months down the line.
Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk would be an awesome match up but like you say Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels will steal the show again. I'm not so sure about an Edge and Christian feud now or even a reunion. Christian has been drafted to Raw and will be in MITB at Wrestlemania.

Can't say I agree with him being drafted to Raw but it'd be very interesting if he can feud with the likes of Randy Orton, Triple H and The Miz. He could potentially also form a pretty good team with John Cena so there are still some intruiging possibilities here despite him not being on Smackdown.

Haha wow, so HBK vs Taker, the Streak vs Hbk's career....itstl....
Shawn Michaels has to be losing that one though and he must be thinking about retiring. Lets hope he doesn't go to TNA and end up 'managing' a TNA star and facing Hulk Hogan if he does decide to retire. Although if he were to he'd probably get a better match out of Hogan than Ric Flair can.

Raw was absolutely top drawer. I cannot wait for Mania and it's good to see them not bumbling about with the card like they did last year. Straight to the point and plenty of time to build the matches up. For once my tips are accurate - called Edge-Jericho as soon as Edge got injured (has originally tipped it for Summerslam) and I think I said HBK's career would be on the line yesterday. So I'll try one more, Vince will bin PG and bring back Trish to have a lesbian match with Kelly Kelly

Especially loved the way the Edge-Jericho match was made; everyone knew that's who Edge was picked so there was no need to labour it. Can't wait, looks better than last year already.

Finally:

Haha, agree, RAW was great. Jericho is such a gun as well. Everything shaping up great at the moment. Hope we don't get any stupid swerves to ruin anything.

Here's the vid in question.

YouTube - Amazing Undertaker HBK Promo Video RAW 22 Feb 10

Haha, I always forget how goddamn well HBK can work angles this well, it's really great stuff. completely captivating and believeable. Got to give credit to the E booking team who put that bit with HHH together so that it could have easily turned into HHH vs HBK instead, what with the "there are plenty of other guys for you to face.." bit. Hats off, good stuff WWE.

Just watched a bit of NXT, saw Chris Jericho vs Bryan Danielson, really good and well put together match. Well worth a watch, the involvement of the Miz was great as well...

...because he's AWESOME
