Haha, beat me to it.Apart from the fact it's been reported since 97 that they hated each other and that HHH-Hbk feuds and matches are stale as **** I'd agree with you.
Quite in favour of this tbh, imagine it will be a one off appearance, but "surprise" rumble entrants are always good value, should be a decent event. There is talk that Booker T could return to World Wrestling Entertainment as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. The multi-time champion has had discussions with WWE officials in recent weeks regarding a possible return to the company. Talks have been ongoing for some time now. Booker T is now accepting bookings. To book the 5-time WCW champion, contact his agent Bill Behrens at showbis@aol.com.
lol... HHH/HBK are not as stale as most of the other match ups going around at the moment.. It is pretty well known that the Clique guys go that extra yard against fellow clique members as they trust them with their bodies a lot more... Plus, however stale it may be, HHH/HBK can still draw and they can still put on a match that will be better than a slugfest between Bret and Vince. I think they are rolling the die on a DX break up and a HHH/HBK feud and it would only be logical to include Bret and Vince in it, esp. since it is high risk for Bret to go through a whole match on his own.Apart from the fact it's been reported since 97 that they hated each other and that HHH-Hbk feuds and matches are stale as **** I'd agree with you.
I partially agree, I don't actually think it would be too bad to see an HBK/HHH showdown for once and for all at a WM, particularly if a world title is involved, but that is about the only time I would ever want to see such a match again, and it will of course draw pretty big. That said, the HBK/Hart segment on RAW gave that little feud a nice closure and throwing HBK back into the mix between Hitman and Vince would just clutter it up and make it less interesting and the handshake/hug on RAW pointless. That said, Bret obviously isn't going to be able to work much of a match himself, so I expect they will go down the route of having someone represent Vince and someone represent Bret, ala WM 23. The way I would do this is have Jericho represent Vince and Edge represent Bret, that would draw pretty big anyway, but with 3 of the most high profile Canadian guys in the business all feuding with the backstory in mind it could be huge, would love to see it. However, recent doubts over Edge being fit for WM time could see an end to that idea, unfortunately.lol... HHH/HBK are not as stale as most of the other match ups going around at the moment.. lol...HHH/HBK have been going since 2002 haven't they? That's a long feud
I don't think the match itself will actually be all that bad, if it is made some sort of gimmick match, otherwise it'll be pretty goddamn poor. It's more of the fact that it will achieve precisely nothing and just deprive more deserving people of airtime which annoys me.Haha, what a terrible signing, I thought signing Hall and Waltman was bad enough. Obvious that TNA are letting Hogan just bring in all his best mates.
The official website of World Wrestling Entertainment has a story up online noting that WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will guest host WWE RAW on March 15th, just two weeks before WrestleMania 26.
DX reunited in August and are still going because despite being unpopular with some, they sell PPVs and they sell merchandise, and also because I think the original plan was to turn one of them heel for Mania. Not sure if they'll do the latter now though. So I was in a Sydney hotel last night and decided I'd watch some Raw on Fox8. Only saw the last 30 mins though.
If that's supposed to bring be back to wrestling after 4 years the WWE are kidding themselves.
Was that the worst main event ever?
Why the **** are DX still going? And Tyson turning on Jericho was about as predictable as Triple H and Michael still main eventing 4 years after I stopped watching.
I really hope they do tbh, I was actually quite looking forward to that. Still just about time for it I suppose, but will need to see the beginnings of a heel turn by the Royal Rumble if it's to work to full effect. This is one of my main gripes with WWE over recent years, their booking seems so short sighted in the run up to WM, with the real feuds only being put in place after No Way out a lot of the time and having only 4 weeks to get momentum.DX reunited in August and are still going because despite being unpopular with some, they sell PPVs and they sell merchandise, and also because I think the original plan was to turn one of them heel for Mania. Yeah, I agree, they handled it quite well in the build up to WM23 though, the main event at No Way Out being Taker/Batista vs Cena/HBK. Though there is obviously only a few times they could repeat this formula. There's a six-week gap between NWO and Mania every year tbh
I kind of disagree anyway. I thought last year the build up to HHH-Orton went on just slightly too long. On the other hand, the other main event was a complete botch job. Taker-Shawn was built to perfection though.
They should do away with the Feb PPV and build it up that way, the problem is starting feuds but avoiding them fighting each other on PPV. If that makes sense.
But they don't act anything like DX of the late 90s.DX reunited in August and are still going because despite being unpopular with some, they sell PPVs and they sell merchandise, and also because I think the original plan was to turn one of them heel for Mania. Not sure if they'll do the latter now though.
