Wow. Probably the first time in my life I've been gutted I live in the south... :p

Seriously though, if I had enough money I'd be considering taking an early train up to go meet him.
The tragic thing is, it's about a five-minute walk from my office, but I have so much on at work at the minute, am taking a hol on Monday and there is the Bank Hol weekend after that. i dunno if my boss will let me take a few hours for that :(

In other news, watched Raw tonight. Orton's promo was brilliant, the ending wasn't the most unpredictable thing ever but was a decent watch. Think Barney's six-man tag might come to fruition at backlash if they were want to get another month out of this.

HBK was once again sensational. Wish he was gonna win, :(

Surely it's got to happen at some point. It's just a question of whether or not they want to give it away on Raw or not. I do also think that if Orton unveils DH Smith as the new member of Legacy on Raw after Mania (as has been mooted for ages), that it's possible we might get the rather surreal situation of the McMahons teaming up with a reunited DX, against a four-man Legacy unit.

Eight-man tags have not been known to sell many PPVs - that one, however, would definitely do so.

I marked out somewhat last night for the reunion of the McMahon-Helmsley Faction - Attitude Era FTW.

Also in the news today, Tazz is leaving/has left WWE - his contract was up today, and it looks like WrestleMania 25 will be his last broadcast. As much of a shame as this is, as he was a talented wrestler and commentator and a much-loved figure, it leaves the door open for the imminent return of JBL to the announcer's table, something for which I cannot wait. JBL is a phenomenal color commentator, and I hope to see him at the desk as soon as possible.

Sad to see Tazz go. At one point he was probably the best colour commentator that the WWE had. Of course he was a superb wrestler and sadly didn't have much of a run as an active competitor in the WWE. Could a run in TNA be on the cards? An addition to TNA's commentary team alongside Mike Tenay and Don West.

If JBL doesn't end up going back to commentary, then please WWE give the opportunity to Josh Matthews. He's a fantastic commentator with a sound wrestling knowledge. He was outstanding as a commentator on Velocity a few years ago and if you ever watch FCW television, he's a terrific commentator there as well. It's a shame he's never got the opportunity to commentate on one of the brands.

I can't get used to a babyface Mc-H faction! I don't mind them going down that road again, what I didn't like first time round was you had Road Dogg and X-Pac in the mixer and the good old DX Express. Then of course Austin "blew it up".

Could be interesting anyway, wondering if any turns are on the cards

It's that time again everyone with just a few days left until Wrestlemania 25 to get all your predictions in.

Here's mine for the night:

WWE Championship Match - Triple H vs Randy Orton: They really have to give Randy Orton the win here to send his popularity to the next level. Although I can see Triple H winning this I'm still going to go for Randy Orton.

World Heavyweight Championship Match - Edge vs John Cena vs Big Show: I have to go with John Cena in this match here. This whole love triangle storyline has left Cena in the dark and he seems like the logical winner here. He's got a movie out now too so I think Cena as World Champion just helps push the movie a little more. Plus they've done all they can with Edge as World Heavyweight Champion so John Cena wins this.

Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker: The build up for this match has been superb with Shawn Michaels outsmarting The Undertaker. Basic booking tells you that this will eventually lead to an Undertaker win. I don't see Undertaker's streak ending anytime soon and he will come out on top. This should be match of the night.

Chris Jericho vs The Legends: Conversely the build for this went from being absolutely red hot to a major disappointment. Along with Randy Orton, Chris Jericho is the best heel in the business today and deserved a better match on the card than this. I'm still not counting out a surprise appearance from either Steve Austin or Batista, but by all accounts Jericho might win, but he will get knocked out by Mickey Rourke at the end of the match. So my pick is still Chris Jericho but The Legends will have the last laugh.

Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy: It's a beginning of a feud and it makes no sense for the face to go over in this match. I think Matt Hardy has been the life of this feud so far and Jeff has been pretty bland. Matt Hardy is my favourite to win this match and this should eventually lead to a match up at the next PPV.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match: I'm really looking forward to this match. I really hope Christian wins as this will open up plenty of opportunities down the road with guys like Edge, John Cena, Triple H and Chris Jericho. On the other hand I can definitely see Shelton Benjamin or MVP winning, but purely as a Christian fan I'm tipping Christian to win.

Intercontinental Championship Match - JBL vs Rey Mysterio: JBL will win this match and apparently is thinking about retirement. As a thank you, WWE will give him this victory and he will retire as an Intercontinental Champion.

WWE Tag Team Championship Unification Match - Miz and Morrison vs The Colons: I'll pick Miz and Morrison to win this. They are the best tag team going around at the moment and deserve to be the WWE Tag Team Champions.

25 Diva Battle Royal: My pick would probably be Trish Stratus if she's in the match to win this. Other than that maybe Beth Pheonix or Gail Kim has a chance to win. But I'm going to go with my pick and that's Trish Stratus.

Looking forward to some other predictions guys. Lets see who ends up with the best result.

Triple H V Orton - Gotta be Orton surely. The only thing that will lead me to believe Triple H might win is if Edge retains the title earlier in the night,

Edge V Big Show V John Cena - It doesn't make much sense for Cena to be in this match for any reason other than to win, and also it seems unlikely that two heels will walk out of Mania as champs, and I expect an Orton win

HBK V Undertaker - My heart is telling me to type HBK but I am resigned to the Undertaker win. Did you know he was undefeated at Wrestlemania? No, seriously, he is!

Y2J V Pensioners - It would be a disgrace were Jericho to lose this, hopefully common-sense will prevail. I am secretly and naively hoping for an impromptu Jericho-Rourke match afterwards

MITB - Expecting a Christian win here, though I wouldn't be surprised if MVP or Shelton Benjamin took the prize. As long as it's not Mark Henry hey.

Jeff V Matt - Matt, probably

Tag match I really don't know, and the women's match no clue either
JBL V Rey Mysterio - I was backing RM until I watched Raw last night and saw him go over against JBL. backing JBL now.

BARNES OUT
I know this.

I'm also capped.

I watched Rock vs. Mankind I Quit match last night, lost a lot of respect for the Rock after reading up about the match afterwards.

Ah, usage limits, fair enough

I watched that match last week funnily enough. I had read on wiki that it caused some animosity between Rock & Foley - do you have a link to something more detailed? My understanding is that Rock gave about 10 chairshots more than he was meant to but wouldn't mind reading about it more.

Whatever it takes!!!
BTW, was juz reading somewhere about how HBK/Taker for this mania was as much a response to what the fans wanted... I wonder if a Rock/HBK match will occur at the next mania.. That would be well above and beyond awesome.. I don't care who plays the heel.. I would absolutely love it watching both stick it up to each other in all different ways.. It would be as good as what HBK is doing now to Taker X 2.. Rock mocking HBK, HBK mocking Rock.. It will be one amazing feud... PLz make it happen, WWE, please, please, please.. I am sure they can get The Rock back for 2 months and make the feud happen...

No, no and no. Dwayne Johnson is done with Professional Wrestling and the WWE. Anybody who believes that Dwayne Johnson will come back to wrestle is dreaming. He's a full time actor now making more money than ever before and not putting his body through all that pain.

He's said many times in interviews that he is retired and I don't see him coming back. Quite frankly I think it's a great thing for Dwayne and I think he's firmly established himself as an actor. Going back to wrestling would be a serious step backward and one I doubt he would take.
