That looks really good actually....whens it due for release?http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XGnO1oQk2_w
The official trailer for Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler. Have to say, it looks fantastic.
In an ideal world, this movie would kick-start a wave of public interest in wrestling - it's unlikely to in the long run, but I'd be willing to bet that in the few weeks after its release at least, ratings for all four major wrestling shows (RAW, SmackDown, ECW and iMPACT) are up.
Some time in January 2009, I believe. Can't wait, personally. That looks really good actually....whens it due for release?
Depends on who watches in that time tbh. If many more kids start watching then I can see them easily getting hooked. I'm willing to put up with more Boogeyman/lame Cena raps if WWE decided to sell out and get more mainstream recognition.

I like their approach right now. They've minimised on the lameness and yet have toned down considerably to get more people watching the shows. Add to that some logical booking and good storytelling in several feuds (Undertaker vs Edge, Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels) and the television has been quite good as of late.Depends on who watches in that time tbh. Wow, this is terrible news. Lots of people speculating he was on course to win the big one tonight. Let's hope he fell down the stairs and is now perfectly fine...if this is strike three, not only will I and many others be gutted for him, but he'll have no-one to blame but himself.Jeff Hardy found unconscious and rushed to the hospital right before Survivor Series.

I hope it's nothing serious and that he's alright. One can't help but think that he's blown his opportunity again. If everything turns out alright though, this might just be strike three and a ticket to unemployment.
Absolutely, hope it's nothing too bad here. But as much as I'd like to think it was something innocent as falling down the stairs, knowing Jeff Hardy's history it'd be difficult not to assume the worst. He probably won't compete tonight now. But the most important thing is his health, everything else comes later.Wow, this is terrible news. Lots of people speculating he was on course to win the big one tonight. Thought has just occurred to me. Could this be a work? Let's look at the circumstances.Absolutely, hope it's nothing too bad here. It'd be pretty far fetched if it was a work, but you know what, as soon as I saw the article I thought that it could be a work too. Although I have a feeling it isn't.Thought has just occurred to me. Could this be a work? Let's look at the circumstances.
1. WWE has not specified what happened, just said that Jeff was found unconscious in a stairwell.
2. They've not specified what medical facility he was taken to, which they normally would.
3. Having him "unable to compete" means he stays over having beaten Triple H and Undertaker, but also means Triple H can retain the title over Kozlov without Jeff having to lose.
4. It fits nicely with the "Jeff is denied the title by fate" angle.
5. It would play off perfectly if it turned out it was Triple H who attacked Hardy and threw him down the stairs, would provide great basis for a heel turn - Triple H is afraid Jeff will take his title, so takes him out of the match in advance. They could even do a "who attacked Jeff Hardy?" angle, similar to "who ran down Stone Cold?".
6. WWE knows people are going to assume the worst when it comes to Jeff, so it makes the story that much more believable.
7. The pop, if and when Jeff appears and interferes in the title match tonight, will be monstrous.
Obviously it's unlikely that it's a work, but in wrestling, and especially with Vince McMahon, you can never say never. Also, I would love it if it was a work, would be a genius piece of writing.
Yeah, true. They released nothing on Benoit early on, either. It'd be pretty far fetched if it was a work, but you know what, as soon as I saw the article I thought that it could be a work too. Although I have a feeling it isn't.
Your points definitely make sense from a booking perspective, but generally when WWE have announced stuff like this (ie. Eddie Guerrero) it's been without detail at first. We'll just have to wait and see and hope for the best.
Mickey Rourke is a gun. That should be awesome!http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XGnO1oQk2_w

Hope it's a work, but I'd be staggered if it was.
Edit: If it is a work....what are the odds that Edge is put in the match as Jeff's replacement? Interesting idea I think..
