Really was a trainwreck of a PPV. Talk about killing all your Mania momentum and going back to the "usual suspects."

Ah well, might watch to see what they come up with in the next couple of weeks. If it doesn't look promising then it could be see you(WWE) at Mania time next year.

Personally, I'm not too disappointed by it. I know people are going to complain about Triple H winning the belt, but look at it this way. Triple H winning the belt now doesn't necessarily have to mean Orton's momentum goes to waste. Orton might win the belt back at One Night Stand in the gimmick match they're going to have (obviously at Judgement Day there'll be a regular no-stips rematch), and that'd put him over pretty well.

To be honest though, I don't much care about Orton losing the belt, I've never been a huge fan of him in the ring or on the mic and he's clearly an arsehole backstage - apparently he threw food at some hotel porters on the recent European trip, this could be punishment for that, I suppose - so I can see why Triple H didn't want to put him over. At least Trips didn't go over at 'Mania.

Yeah, Trips is really going to put someone over strong. Losing a match to someone isn't putting them over, making them come out of a feud/match looking stronger than they came in is really putting them over. He'll never do that for anyone, and kicking out of an RKO? Wow, surprised he let Orton get so much offence in, at least it wasn't a total burial.

Unless he goes heel quick this next reign of Hunter will be hilariously ****. Which legitimate heel is there left for him to go to? Even the pop when he won the title back was subdued by new champion standards.

Edge and Taker putting on another show and Mick Foley on commentary were the only redeemers for me.

Of course Orton will act like an utter ****. The guy only got pushed because of his looks and became the greenest Title holder I've ever seen while guys like Benoit and Eddie busted their asses for decades and got nothing for years. At least he's shown some consistent improvement in the ring and on the mic too but a littler indiscretion like that is hardly enough to warrant a title stripping, plenty of topline wrestlers have done far far worse and not been punished.

I've been hearing for ages that Hunter wants to turn heel again, so I'd imagine it'll happen soon. I doubt we'll get Cena-HHH though, they'll want to save that for a more high-profile time of year. I don't think HHH-Jeff Hardy is beyond the realms of possibility. If they can put titles on Edge, Morrison and Chavo directly following a suspension, I don't see why Jeff (and Mr. Kennedy, oddly) should be kept in the dog-house for so long, second offence or not. He'll come back and they'll use the whole "my house burned down, I lost everything I had" angle to push him again.

If I had to put money on the SummerSlam main event for this year, I'd go for Jeff Hardy vs Triple H.

Yes! A KENNEDY FACE TURN! Really happy about this. Also very happy that the crowd at last night's Raw took to it very quickly - "Who's the guy who would have won KOTR if he'd been in it?" "KENNEDY!". If he's gonna feud with Regal then that will be, to quote the King himself, bloody marvellous.

Jericho said that nobody goes from pious preacher to backstabbing bastard as quickly as Shawn can! :-O Can't believe they might give us a feud we actually want, please don't mess this up it could be off the chain.

Also loved Regals' editing of the Raw finish. They're trying to put big heat on him so maybe he might be a bit bigger than a feaud with Kennedy. Gotta say, anyone who does deserve a prominent position in the WWE it's Regal. Oozes class that guy.

Yeah, I'd imagine if Regal does feud with Kennedy it'll be a short feud designed to put Regal over as a future main eventer, and to put over Kennedy as a genuine face, or at least a tweener.

You're dead right about Regal, he's one of the best talents they've got going. I'll be dead proud if he eventually manages to become the first British World Champion in any major Federation. Even the Bulldog never won the WWF Title.

EDIT: Oh, and yeah, HBK-Jericho could happen a million times and no-one would get bored of it. Y2J is HBK's natural heir, their promos and matches together are always epic.

I just read the spoilers for this week's SmackDown. Suffice to say, WOW. If they're doing what I think they're doing, then it's a very brave, but very interesting, decision.

Elaborate, son, elaborate.

Also regarding the WWE title, for me the thing that ****ed me off was just that I saw the whole thing as being entirely pointless. You put Randy Orton over HHH and Cena at Wrestlemania, huge, HUGE win that no one was expecting and it put him over to the moon. They would have been justified putting him over anyone at that stage, as a heel champion he was about as legitimate as anyone has been for ages thanks to his string of wins and then the WM main event win. But then they just bury him at Backlash? What the hell is the point of that? If they were going to give HHH the belt they should have done it at Wrestlemania and attached a ****load more prestige to it. Just seems like a massive waste of time to me, giving Orton such a victory only to not build on it.

Okay, I'll have to put spoiler tabs on though.

*****SPOILERS BELOW*****

This week's episode of SmackDown, according to the spoilers I've read, seems to feature The Undertaker being stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship and banned from ever using the Gogoplata Chokehold ever again by Vickie Guerrero. It's debatable whether he actually did get stripped of it, as he refused to give it up and then The Edgeheads stole the belt while he was choking out The Great Khali, but it certainly appears that something big is in the works if he has been stripped of it. Really brave move by the E - could turn out totally pointless, but could be awesome.

Regal has been around for ever. Im suprised he never got pushed that much before.

So yeah, looks like 'Taker has indeed been stripped of his title. Pretty bold booking move, but I'm very interested to see where this goes. Sadly the fact that I'm not gonna have internet access between the 5th-26th May means I probably won't get to see where it goes, but I'm sure I can find a net cafe to check the results.

Not sure what to make of this tbh, I imagine this will run to Judgement Day, where Taker will beat down Edge once and for all before moving on to feud with the next number one contender.

Judging by spoilers, all the ECW roster have arrived at RAW tonight, presumably for some angle, brand conflict maybe? could be good but then again we have seen it all before....rumoured that Sandman and Sabu have been resigned as well.....not sure how accurate those repots are though.

thanks lad, i'll hope that there will be no more bans in my future here, hopefully should get a good few posts in over the next few weeks.

just had a look at the results from last nights RAW, looks like a pretty good show tbh, looking forward to watching it on Thursday. Interestingly Y2J hasnt turned heel, despite what looked like a massive chance to do so (teaming up with HBK), perhaps the E put it off for another week as they want to put Jericho over as the heel here, and as the show was in Toronto HBK would have got major heat from the crowd, and Y2J a huge pop.....so watch this space I suppose.

Main event of Kennedy and HHH vs about 7 ECW guys looks pretty good as well, and as said by Rubble earlier, great to see Kennedy being pushed as a face.

and now, just noticed that HBK vs Y2J has been scheduled for Judgement Day, first match in ages that I am really, really looking forward to, this should be great, provided its booked right. For this to have maximum effect, Y2J has to go over, preferably clean (but I doubt it), but Y2J has to be the victor here, otherwise (though it will be a great watch) it will be a waste of time, as HBK is already mega over full stop, and at this stage of his career it wont hurt him to lose this feud, and it would do Jericho a world of good and elevate his status. I imagine this feud will probably run for 2-3 months and maybe end at Summerslam in some sort of gimmick match, but I hope and pray that WWE book it right...

Very much so, only thing keeping me checking the results right now.

Two problems with this. Try getting Shawn to agree and WWE booking is never this logical.

Longish feuds like that are hard to keep interesting but these two can pull it off. If the blowoff is a gimmick match I'd prefer it to be one that still accentuates their actual wrestling abilities rather than a gimmick which encourages spotfests.

I would say Jericho going over is a realistic possibility, he and HBK are apparently on favourable terms, plus the fact that he jobbed to Orton 3 months in a row last year (cleanly on at least 2 occasions iirc), so an HBK job isnt out of the question....its down to whether or not the E want to really push Y2J, or just have him look like a bitch like they have for the previous 5 years.

I'd imagine if they have a gimmick match to conclude the feud it would probs be a hell in a cell/ladder/last man standing match, all of which would be potential spotfests I suppose, all of which I would rather not see tbh, as imo, Hell in a Cell for the most part has been pretty crap since 1998, the only ones ever worth a ****e were the HBK/Taker one, and the Foley/Taker one, every one since has been a glorified steel cage for mine.
