Can't understand why people are crapping all over WrestleMania here. I thought it was a brilliant show. Fantastically well booked, too, which is rare for a WWE show.
JBL def. Finlay, Belfast Brawl - had the right winner, and a couple of pretty cool spots. Finlay excelled himself. Good overall.
CM Punk wins MITB - again, the right winner, and an incredible spectacle. Some seriously amazing spots in there, too many to mention.
Batista def. Umaga - best thing about it was the "U-U-Umaga" chant that came out of nowhere. Short match, nothing special, botched ending - usual Batista fare, really. Umaga did okay, though.
Kane def. Chavo Guerrero, new ECW Champion - great to see Kane with a title. Annoying that Chavo got squashed like that, but I don't care if it means Kane gets a belt.
Shawn Michaels def. Ric Flair - wow. Really emotional match. Great ending, superb performances from both guys. Should have ended the show though, IMO.
BunnyMania - made infinitely more enjoyable by the participation of Santino, King and Snoop Dogg. Otherwise it would have been dull as Hell. Oh, and the lights going out was funny.
Randy Orton def. John Cena and Triple H - who expected this? Honestly, who didn't think Triple H was going over? Gotta give the big man props for that. Great match, really top quality, some good spots. Great booking, because now this allows us to get closure on Orton-Cena, if they want it. Which they should do, else it's just left open-ended.
Floyd Mayweather def. Big Show - so much better than anyone expected. Mayweather did a great job all round, selling his injuries and giving Big Show some decent shots at the same time. His chair shots were kinda lame, but the match was well written and well executed. Very entertaining.
Undertaker def. Edge, new World Heavyweight Champion - fantastic, just as expected. Lots of reversals and changes of momentum, and Charles Robinson's desperate run to the ring to count the pinfall was a classic moment. Brilliant match, right ending.
Overall I really enjoyed the show, very pleased. Not only that, but, after Raw last night.....
It's CRYME TYME once again!
