it's in Tokyo Sports afterall, there's kayfabe at play, I doubt he's going to WWE so it's not the end of the line

it's interesting as I would have thought AEW would mainly want a NJPW relationship so that the guys they sign can also wrestle over there, and they don't care so much about having the top NJPW guys appear on their card, whereas ROH clearly need those guys more than ever, and probably don't need their guys wrestling for NJPW, so like surely a middle ground can be found.

AEW is direct competition to ROH. NJPW and ROH already have a partnership of sorts and have a fairly massive G1 Supercard in MSG in April.

Joey Janela + MJF could be pretty much expected.

Pac is with AEW and came with the Dragons Gate belt? Partnership?

AEW would be missing a trick if they don't get Oliver Grey/Joel Redman. He's a quality wrestler and good at that sort of indy style.

Jericho might get some criticism but that's a canny pick, name value especially, can still somewhat go and respected in the WWE so can put in a word with some of the more disillusioned guys their.

Omega and Ibushi would be the real massive gets imo. Jericho surely can't be signed for a full time gig for any length of time.

Ibushi won't sign a contract imo.

I doubt it, working with OWE mostly rules out working with DG imo. The split wasn't on the greatest of terms, though the frostiness seems to have softened recently with Lindaman wrestling on a DG show late last year.

I'm pretty sure PAC will drop the Dream Gate belt soon, R.E.D currently hold all the belts. I think Kzy will beat him for it.

I'll say this though, I went from less than zero interest to mild interest with a lot of these moves. If the idea that Hangman Page is gonna be their top guy is true then I'm all in, Hangman is ****ing sick. They gotta keep their hands off Mayu though, the dip in her match quality going from matches against Momo, Utami, Hazuki, Kagetsu, Jungle Kyona etc to ****in' Tessa Blanchard is gonna be too much for me.

I'm really curious to see how it all goes. Might not take off, or might bomb, but either way, it's surely got to be good for pro-wrestling in general.

Yeah, absolutely fair play to the lad tbh. I've never been a huge fan of his, always thought he was alright but nothing remarkable, but much respect to him for taking the plunge, leaving his safe position in the E to try something new, and giving his all to try and do something fresh and working relentlessly towards something he believes in. Will give my support to this and am excited to see what it can become.

Really enjoyed Smackdown this week btw. First time in ages I have watched a main roster WWE weekly show from top to bottom and enjoyed the whole of it. Nutcase vegan Daniel Bryan is great.

Yeah that was a good Smackdown, can't think of any storylines on that show that I don't find at least a little entertaining.

New Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles = awesome
Becky vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte (with a little bit of a more aggressive babyface Carmella) = great
Shinsuke vs. Rusev = good
Mandy Rose vs. Naomi = somehow this is also good
The Bar vs. The World Cup Winning team of the Miz vs. Shane McMahon = peak Miz stuff
Almas vs. Rey = WWE give us the hair vs. mask at Mania you cowards
