BARNES OUT
Haha tbf you could probably say that about a lot of guys who have been successful over the years, even Austin/McMahon for instance. I get your point, but it's a bit of a "if my aunt had wheels she'd be a wagon criticism" imo.
If your aunt had wheels she'd be a weird human with wheels, not a wagon you ****ing dickhead.

Will admit that I don't watch the week-to-week stuff but nothing about Strowman is even remotely interesting to me. Looks and acts like a gigantic ****ing idiot. Wouldn't have any fanfare if he was beating up any other dude on the WWE Roster.
On a three hour show devoid of interesting things, the unintentional hilariousness of Strowman at least gets your attention.

Payback

Jericho vs. KO - great
Neville vs. Aries - great
Hardys vs. Cesaro/Shaemus - good
Bayley vs. Alexa - good (Alexas best match?)
House of Horrors taping - bad
Rollins vs. Joe - average
House of Horrors in ring - poor
Strowman vs. Reigns - great

I really had much lower expectations for that PPV overall than what we got

I thought Payback was watchable, definitely better than I thought it would be. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Jericho's on Smackdown now? So all of him, Owens and Zayn are on the same brand. Neato.

But seriously, that's.... not ideal. I guess Jericho will be taking some time off soonish to tour with Fozzy or something.

Bliss winning can only be a good thing for RAW. More mic time, more facial expressions, more Bliss. Probably her best singles match so far as well. Bayley's a good worker but she needs some acting lessons or something, she's been painful recently.

Samoa Joe had a match.

Aries/Neville for MOTN for sure.

Bayley definitely carried a lot of the match but Alexa is improving. Still hoping we get Bayley vs. Sasha at Summerslam but I guess that doesn't need the belt.

I have to think Strowman loses some of the magic if you don't know how ****ing bad he was when part of the Wyatt family.

Yeah dude went from being green as hell in the ring to one of the better looking big big men ever, all in about a year.

Coming around to Balor a bit more in the last couple of weeks. Stronger talker than I initially thought.

FMD that main event was incredible. Even liked the over booked ending. that sister Abigail was sold like ****ing death

It's a shame that Lesnar's half wasting the World Championship, and the next contender is Strowman. Imagine a Balor vs. Rollins feud for the title or something.

$30 to laugh at awful local wrestling and watch Will Ospreay half-arse a match and still run rings around everyone? Tempting, but probably not tbh.

Especially when I'd have to go to an RSL. And Paddington. What an unfortunate combination.

I thought Payback was good tbh -- Owens/Jericho, Aries/Neville, Rollins/Joe and Strowman/Reigns were all fantastic, the tag match was what it was (heel Cesaro though, meh), and ****ING ANTI-HOMETOWN BOOKING STRIKES AGAIN.

I like Alexa beating Charlotte to the dual-champ crown and that being fuel for a future rivalry, though, even if I dislike Bayley losing ever.

Great match between Miz/Rollins/Balor.

Don't have any objection to Miz winning per se, but have no desire whatsoever to see Miz vs Ambrose again.

How much has Miz improved in-ring? Dude has had some great matches in the last 12 months.

Miz/Rollins/Balor
Elimination Chamber
Miz vs Ziggler TLC Ladder match
Miz vs Ziggler No Mercy Career vs. Title match
Miz, Cesaro, KO, Sami Zayn Extreme Rules

And if you go back a teensy bit further, the ladder match at last years Mania.

Excluding Royal Rumbles, Miz had four 4 star matches or higher from 2007-2015. Since 2016 he has five more and I reckon hes just got his sixth. WAG.

Miz has been improving since pretty much forever. Basically unrecognisable from when he first showed up. Props to him, he's obviously worked extremely hard.

Wrestling Dontaku tonight. a B show building towards best of the super Jrs & Dominion 6/11, but some decent stuff on it...and Cody. Omega and Okada II is likely to be set up tonight.

NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2017 Preview & Predictions - Voices of Wrestling

Some good stuff on njpw world lately too. I didn't talk about Wrestling Toyonokuni but there's two good matches on that, Takahashi vs Ricochet (1 hour 50 mins, you need to watch the promo, wait for Takahashi to bring out the dolls) and of course the main event, Naito vs Juice Robinson. NJPW did some videos about future IWGP heavyweight champion Bad Luck Fale and he crushed an apple pretty damn good at the end of this. Four matches featuring (some of the very best) NJPW talent from the April Rev Pro show in London have put up on NJPW world too. They've also put the wonderful Ibushi vs Ricochet match from 2014 up for free for anyone to watch

(I should note that I had trouble watching some of these on chrome and firefox, but they worked on edge)

Hey Cody is the 3 star hero we deserve.

And holy **** that card was way better than I was expecting, and I've watched a decent amount of the lead up stuff. When did we get Omega vs. Ishii? and when did GoD get back in the tag team title picture?

He doesn't need to channel Shibata or anything but I just wish he'd put a bit more behind his kicks and punches.
