Just strikes me as being totally illogical (but it's the WWE writers/the old man, so I guess this is hardly novel). They're spurning the chance to generate some fantastic face momentum and make a new star just so they can desperately persist with the attempts to get Reigns cheered (which despite the commentary attempting to portray him as a polarising figure they are still very clearly determined to do), and Rollins is going to get cheered anyway.

I do accept there are a lot of faces about at the moment, and not many top heels, but there'd be nothing wrong with doing a few Face v Face programmes. And of course there is "the big dog" at the top of the roster who'd make a fantastic heel if they had the balls to pull the trigger on that, not to mention John Cena when he returns in about a week or whatever. Really dreading Cena coming in and basically just taking AJ's spot as a top face and the so-called "new era" just going the way of the "diva's revolution".

Agreed, tweener Reigns is v face Rollins would do as good business as what we will get and crowd want to cheer Seth now. Just odd but expected I suppose with Vince these days sadly.

Yeah face Rollins vs current arrogant but still face Reigns would work. Of course I'd prefer heel Roman but there's nothing wrong with a face v face feud. Especially as Roman vs AJ was face vs face anyway, so I don't buy the 'not enough heels' thing.

Ideally, they'd just elevate KO to main event status. It'd seriously solve so many if their problems right now.

i'm worried kevin is gonna win mitb and therefore lose for 3 months and then get owned by Roman.

I think he should turn against HHH.
Maybe. But I don't think there was enough of a Rollins vs HHH thing before his injury to justify him feuding haitch straight away. They were definitely building to it, but there they didn't really get to that point.

they've missed the boat on hhh-rollins as far as i'm concerned. they should both just turn face

i look forward to their summerslam co-main event

Yeah, Rollins v HHH is done. The last thing needed right now is a throwback to the Authority days. Any connection with that general angle needs to be done away with and never mentioned again as far as I'm concerned.

Rollins v HHH would do nothing for Rollins at this stage anyway. Rollins is the bigger deal, if anything HHH needs to wrestle Rollins, not the other way around.

Even if they wanted to keep Rollins as a heel, they had to re-introduce him as a face. Much like Jericho's latest return, or even Austin Aries in NXT. Big name showing out out of nowhere/returning is going to be cheered in almost all circumstances. You need to accept that they'll be cheered and actively make the crowd dislike them again in the weeks that follow.

Rollins can't show up and immediately continue being a heel -- it makes zero sense given the reaction he got. He needs some form of active turn, not just an assume-business-as-usual from pre-injury.

That being said, I want a face run out of him. Who else, Roman aside, could believably turn?

i don't think they've really got anyone, unless whoever the person is gets free reign to be a dick like KO (https://streamable.com/yshf).

they could go back to having rusev be a beast, but he's probably about to be cena'd again anyway

Cena. But they obvs won't.

Heel Ambrose imo. They're doing ****all with him as face anyway. Might as well let him go full lunatic vicious heel.
Not a bad shout actually. Could do with a few more wins under his belt first though imo. He's still very much "that guy who loses all the big ones" atm imo. Always seems a bit forced and unconvincing when a guy turns and then just immediately starts winning for mine.

Ambrose won his singles feuds with KO and Jericho, lost his feud with Rollins (pretty even feud), Roman (lolromanwins), Brock ( lost badly) HHH (narrowly) and won a feud against the Wyatt family w/ Roman. Also he notably was the last eliminated in the royal rumble.

I honestly feel like the tagging with Roman for months did more to halt his momentum than any of those lost feuds, losing to Rollins and HHH and maybe Reigns all left him looking pretty important. The Brock loss was just woeful though.

Though even looking at his history, he is pretty consistently being booked as a potential main event contender. Emphasis on potential.

Seth Rollins' wet hair is dripping all over his suit jacket like a ****ing mug.

Least convincing heel promo ever.

Oh he lit everyone's get better soon letters on fire. What a bad ass.

Always the bridesmaid imo. He's not really done anything meaningful for a very long time indeed, and it's being reflected in the crowd reactions to him/his matches. 4-5 months ago the crowd were wild for him, but now they're ambivalent. The whole Jericho feud, including the matches, have been pretty ergh. People just aren't into him. They need to do something with him soon or he'll become Ziggler version 2. I guess a heel turn is as good as anything, I just hope they'd have the sense to do it well rather than force it.

Exactly, too many losses at the big PPV'S have definitely showed his momentum. His loss at Survivor Series and Mania while to big stars were as absolute clear cut as they could have been, you can lose matches and keep your heat, but those losses were so emphatic. Beating Jericho while its something, isn't nowhere near enough to get him to a level he needs to be whatsoever.

He isn't a jobber or ought, but right now, he is basically just another guy, no more than that whatsoever and that's why he is losing his heat.
