Problem for me is that the mania card isn't very exciting. It's disappointing as there are a few wrestlers in there I enjoy seeing in matches. It's a setback not to have guys like Cisaro or Seth Rollins in it though for me as they are out due to injury. How would you book it better, Athlai, Sledger..

Apparently Bray has a sore/injured back, and Neville may have been injured on Raw. There isn't much else they can do this close to WM.

I'd have looked at getting Ambrose in the triple threat using Roadblock as the reason, have Reigns win the match after turning heel on Ambrose.

I think most of the negative sentiment to this mania is that Reigns is a pretty unlikable white meat babyface and smacks will always boo someone they see as the company's man instead of theirs. With Reigns it's a bit.... More noticeable than it has been in a while. If they kept him as the stony faced bad ass he was when he attacked HHH and put him out of action, the crowd would likely be a bit warmer to him.

Or if the intention is to turn him heel, that'd be great too.

....but he is booked in a match against a HHH how in the world do you get Reigns to do anything that turns him heel in that main event.

Ambrose got far more pops than Reigns. I do think Reigns isn't a good wrestler even. However, he could definitely play a role. They really should have added Ambrose to the mix some how. Wrestle Mania X comes to mind where Hitman had two matches, one v Luger and one v Yokozuna. Ambrose in a Triple threat after taking a beating from Brock in Hell in a Cell would have popped massively. They could give the title to him (or Reigns) and they could feud for a couple of months till Rollins etc got back.

I find the whole Taker being Vince's bitch aspect true. Taker has no rivalry with Shane. Why is he intent on beating the hell out of Shane. Also, Taker looks so old now.

Negative thought: God I hope they panic and call up Balor for the IC title match as a surprise entrant. KOs face would be priceless. Crowd would be smart/hot enough for it to work.

Probably only going to debut him the day after anyway...

I don't know why people have such an issue with this, Taker is a wrestler and has taken on opponents chosen by the bosses a thousand times. Takers view is he doesn't care who he is fighting, or about the politics, he will just win because he's a fighter.

Did people question why Taker was so willing for Teddy Long to make people fight him whenever he wanted to punish someone? Playa.

I am not sure where they are going with Dolph but I think he will interfere in some way to get the title off Triple H. Triple H losing clean is unlikely to happen even when he loses the title.

Few years ago, it would be fine. However, now it looks a bit odd, I am not sure why. On another note, Mania will have two big hardcore matches with Triple H v Reigns going bloody too. Doesn't always happen, does it.. going to be a lot of blood. Last year, we did have Taker v Brock bloody match but that's generally been the exception rather than the rule..

We're rehashing last week's convo, but I just don't see any point in big NXT call ups if the match is gonna be a six man ladder thing.

Triple threat, or even a four way I'm fine with, but if the plan is still to do a 6 man ladder match, or something like that, than I believe Sami should not have been called up, and instead should have showed up on Raw when KO is gloating about retaining it at WM. There's too many people in it, and we're all gonna just be focusing on KO-Sami, who will probably barely interact so we'll be disappointed and I just don't see it being any better than a KO-Sami-(x) triple threat (where X was Neville but now could be anyone but Stardust or Jack Swagger or Miz, and X gets pinned by Owens after Sami basically kills them).

And then we'll gonna see Ryback squash Kalisto in 10 minutes

There are far too many underdog story matches as well this time Kalisto v Ryback, Brock v Ambrose, Reigns v Triple H.

Oh I was thinking of it as a four man scenario. Miz KO Sami and Neville. Now I'd have Balor sub in for Neville.

May even be a chance to have Neville get a tiny bit of mic time, saying he's earned a chance at the IC title and even though he can't compete himself he has someone to take his place. Storyline it would work nicely, Neville just lost a champ vs. former champ match against Balor and they shook hands.

That segment where Reigns attacked and beat down HHH was terribad. Crowd was either silent or booing throughout. WM will be hilarious.

I mean, Reigns vs. HHH is surely not an underdog story right?
Right?

He almost lost to Ambrose and Ziggler and Reigns has beaten everyone (excluding Brock) fairly comfortably.

God I hope they don't book it like an underdog story.

Yeah, definitely could have been a gun segment if it had been done a while ago but jeez, it came across so flat and the crowd just **** on it.

it's roman vs the authority. i'm sure they'll do the underdog thing. i spotted one half of J&J security last night, maybe they'll bring them back to stack the odds against Roman even more. How will he possibly win?!?

Indeed, these responses about how the segment was dead almost makes me think this increases the chances of the underdog thing.

"Gee the crowd didn't get behind Roman much. We need to make him more of an underdog so they will get behind him!" meanwhile Roman's literally wearing a Roman Empire shirt

Reigns is always this guy who didn't take up the authority offer and so can't achieve success. The ultimate underdog who had odds always stacked against him and where Triple H is concerned he has turned out on the rough end for a fair few months now. Replace him with Stone Cold or Rock and they were at an even keel despite the storyline stacked against them. However Reigns is just so poor at his role that he is the underdog.

Reigns isn't poor at all imo. The problem is the underdog vs authority figure storyline has been done to death, and the fans do not want someone rammed down their throats by the machine. Reigns is getting the same treatment that anyone in "the chosen one" position would get, he's just a victim of circumstance.
