Yeah it's a real shame. Even 2 weeks ago would have been a much more opportune time. They now have the rocket boosters on Reigns and no real adversity to overcome.

Sorta wish they'd use this to do something cool like debut Balor, but I don't think hes ready for that sort of push yet.

Rusev injured, Orton injured, Rollins injured, Cena taking time out, Bryan injured, Sting injured.

Thats a lot of your upper card guys out.

I was thinking last night that if they're doing Taker v Wyatt's, Balor, maybe with Joe or just having it be 3 on 4, would make a bit of sense

anyway give Cesaro the title ya ****s. There seems to be a buzz whenever Owens and Reigns are together so they might be an opportunity to build something there.

The network has arrived in India. Started my free month and ****, it looks great. Plan to do a marathon over the winter college break starting from the RAW after WM XVIII with the brand split and mega draft. That was the point I started following WWE as a kid and remember loving Smackdown in particular so will be great fun.

Also WWE's coming to Delhi in Jan and I'm 90% going. Anyone else coming? The promised guys so far are John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Big Show, Sheamus, Cesaro and Ryback.

edit: Bryan's actually not going to be on the tour, he'll be in India for RAW Sunday Dhamaal.

haven't thought too much into it, but I'd probably go with Ambrose or Cesaro winning at Summerslam and getting dat pop, losing within 4-5 weeks to a cash in, having dumb irish **** win the re-match but basically drop it to Reigns not long after

I mean, that's not actually how I'd do that, but that's following the Reigns wins it by the Rumble rule. They really need to get the briefcase out of contention imo, and this gets that done without Reigns being the victim of it. Ambrose or Cesaro having it for even a month would be a nice bone to the fans.

The pop when he returns is going to incredible. Probably going to return 4-5 months before Wrestlemania 33 to build a main event which leads to his win. Will probably interrupt a Reigns/Ambrose feud when he returns which would lead to the Shield triple threat 'mania main event.

You could make the argument that the next young champ beating Cena for the belt makes it feel way more special than just winning a randomly thrown together championship tournament.

By the way, Roman and Rollins' careers have thrown up so many parallels to Rock and HHH's careers.

Roman/Rock: Samoan lineage, pushed very hard very early, crowd rejects it, getting booed regularly, possibly leading to heel turn and championship win at Survivor series tournament after the previous champ vacates the belt due to injury?

Rollins/HHH: Heel champ, great in the ring, delivers boring 20 minute promos, pedigree finisher, freak knee injury puts him out for 6+months, comes back to monster babyface reception?
