I know it’s inconceivable to our selectors, but they may have to drop a Marsh brother?
Actually, looking at it in writing I can’t see them doing it.
Would still take them over Head or Labuschagne, though if they do well here it's a bit different.

Really need runs in the second Test, though.

I'm no great batsman, but when you face someone who makes you doubt whether to go front or back it doesn't matter what speed they bowl at. Abbas is really good at bowling that line and length.
One of those guys who hits the bat harder than you think too, I reckon.

When Warner becomes available I think you have to seriously consider him at 5 or 6 to try and stop these collapses especially away from home.

Nah man, ever since the redesign and the advent of day night tests, Adelaide has been one of the better wickets for bowlers in Australia. The Gabba/MCG/SCG are now the worst roads, with the WACA being worse than all of them 50% of the time.
I was born in April and have no idea what a "WACA" is.

Forgot to mention after Heads duck but he seems to regularly fail first innings and often scores runs in his second bat.

Does anyone have stats to back this up?id be curious to see

I feel this to be true also, he always seems good for an 80-odd in the 2nd dig and ends up on the losing side.

Nah it just looks weird because of his unusual wrist flick and back of the hand release. They already tested him after he first played ODIs and found he was actually nowhere close to chucking, and if anything it looks smoother now than it did then.

Always seemed to be in enlarged Pakistan squads and never chosen.

So when he made his debut here I checked out his cricinfo page. What is going on there ? Hardly bowls in domestic cricket.

Every member of Australia's 3-6 has a duck this test.

At the same time Boof calls for Chris Lynn and D'Arcy Short to be possible test debutants this summer. :D

The Cricinfo description of the Heir Apparent's dismissal makes it sound a lot like his first innings one.

Honestly think Lynn is probably in our best six Test batsmen, he just never plays FC cricket because of his injuries.

Certainly if he hadn't been injured so often he'd well and truly have had a test debut by now.

Good news for Australia is that Yasir hasn't had much of an impact so far, so if they keep Abbas out somehow, they might still have an outside shot of saving this. I haven't watched any of this though, so maybe he's just been unlucky while creating a lot of pressure for the other bowlers.

Yes, I remember we were all including him in our possibilities and actually had numbers behind his name and 1 of the only one's with mid-40s average.

He really has had some weird injuries. Didn't he have to have surgery after being hit in his testacles once ?
