wrt england

if india and sri lanka's attacks are winning games in england then so is this pakistan attack.
Yeah; I don't think that'd happen again though. England were mentally shot after the Ashes; as the summer progressed they showed they're still a lot better in English conditions in India, and I'd bet my house on them comfortably accounting for Sri Lanka if they had another crack at it immediately.

Had a lot to do with the pitches too, tbf. I think we'd probably have won too if we'd got the same two tracks.

Well, they did lose to SL 2-0 mere months ago. And that as with Junaid and Ajmal.
Yeah, definitely not a given. If they played there again right now I'd probably have Sri Lanka as marginal favourites, but while this team (even including Junaid) doesn't have much chance at all of winning in Aus/Eng/SA/NZ, they'd be a real chance in Sri Lanka.

Yasir Shah is so ****ing talented. It is just that he seems like a maverick happy to get what comes by and enjoy life sipping the hookah or whatever else floats his boat. I havn't seen a player who can turn it like him bowling leg spin in a long time. On a better pitch he could be crazy good. Thing is, I am not sure how much he will plmuch he will play or attends to his talent.

for the next test, unless your convinced wagner is going to come in and reverse swing it then I wouldn't bother picking him

don't try and fight the conditions you just have to get better at playing in them

I'm not going to profess to know a heap about New Zealand cricket but is neesham really in your best 6 batsmen? that's the only change i'd consider making

Yup Danny Morrison, what Babar should do is bowl more like us antipodeans bowl.

Oh, and then when he talks about it being more like what he wants, floated up so that it spins more so he gets excited, it's actually sliding on!

Anyway..enough about the mighty WI. After this massive defeat the question is what will it do to NZ's confidence? They've been used to winning lately but such a defeat can be mentally taxing...i'm sure Southee and Boult inperticular will be wondering what they do next on those tracks...them bouncing back from this horror show will be vital.

Well it's debatable, but he has scored two tons and two fifties already and this is only his fifth Test. He's certainly had a more than good enough start even if he was crap here.

Yeah, certainly not in Australia, South Africa, England or New Zealand. Junaid Khan is by far their best quick and he's currently injured though so he'd make a difference.

End of the day though, with how badly all the teams bar South Africa are going in half the away venues, winning all their home and subcontinent series would be more than enough to claim #2. Easier said than done but possible with this side.
Dilruwan Perera or whatever the **** his name was won a test in England, and the series with it, so it's pretty up in the air at the best of times. And sometimes good bowling is just good bowling, Babar in particular seems like an adaptable player.

The options are Rutherford or Ronchi, so probably yes, he is. Has been in terrific form before two days ago.
