**Official** Pakistan v New Zealand in the UAE 2014

Fitness problem?
Nah, just poor gameplan and even worse execution in my view. They're now feeling the pinch so they're trying to push the ball through, before when the batsmen were being ultra defensive they were able to get away with the marginal balls that are now leaking runs.

Baz to bowl some skidders.
Yeah, not commenting on fitness, only flicked on twenty minutes ago. Just comparing against what I've seen earlier in the series.

Reckon Sodhi should go round the wicket for a couple at Sarfraz, see if he wants to sweep out of the rough.

Pakistan must be kicking themselves that they didn't go a little bit sooner when they were 50 odd for 1, especially when you look at how Craig and Sodhi have started to bowl their recent overs, going from one token boundary ball to two or three.

Wondering whether light would be an issue with anyone with some pace now? That why McCullum doing this with the meds?
if we can't bowl pace anymore then we may as well shake hands. craig and sodhi have been getting worse and worse all day. it's in southee and boult's hands now.

It's just too sameish from both of them.

Same angles, same delivery patterns, varied length more so because they just can't hit the same length. Using their variation sparingly, not getting any natural variations and gifting the batsmen a ball or two an over to have a go at. The gameplans are terrible which makes the fact that neither of them are the most talented bowlers stand out even worse.

What time is it in NZ? Gotta say I don't think any other countries fan base would be as dedicated as you guys are.

Draw.

Interesting test, unfortunately we didn't have the firepower to make the runs we scored count but good performances from Southee and Boult, good to see Taylor find a way to contribute again and nice to see Latham continue his run.

Me personally, goodbye Craig, goodbye Anderson, Hello Bracewell, Hello Wagner. That's not going to happen but that's what I'd do.

Defintely goodbye Craig for Wagner. We have missed a trick by not bringing another middle-order batsman. I guess they assumed that Rutherford would open and Baz would be at no.5. Baz has been really good opening this series. May not have gotten the big scores but has consistently gave us good starts. Problem with dropping Craig is we are getting rid of one of our better batsmen. Any change we make will weaken the batting. But I guess the onus is on taking 20 wickets to square the series.

Good fight in this test, which is what we really needed to show. That last wicket partnership yesterday morning was a killer.

McCullum's an excellent speaker these days, it's no coincidence he has Stephen Fleming as his manager. Very Fleming-esque.
