Big test for Shafiq. He hasn't had too many opportunities to spend time in the middle with everyone above him piling it on. If NZ get a wicket soon, they'll win imo. Sarfraz won't have the licence to play like he's done over the last 2 months.

I thought it was. There's no other way to explain it.
You've got the rule wrong - if it hits on the full the umps and presumably Hawkeye are meant to assume the ball will carry on in the direction it was travelling prior to the point of impact. So if it's a spin bowler they can't assume that the ball would have turned once it bounced. That's what straight means. Not that the ball will suddenly move straight up and down the pitch when it was previously moving at an angle....

Needs to stop trying to bowl the miracle ball that got Misbah and settle back on a channel just outside off and get them to nibble.

NZ not gonna lose this from here at least.. impressive performance considering how Aus got slaughtered.

That conversation about the fake Rahat Ali surely has to be one of the most cringeworthy of all time

Looks like we get to attack in the last session without any concern about losing (oh and the commentators are just saying the same thing); where are our wickets coming from?

Has to be Southee first and foremost. Then Boult and Sodhi, perhaps Anderson for a goldenarm with some short wide rubbish. Craig doesn't look likely.

Craig v Younis hasn't been pretty to watch. Younis just waits for 15-20 balls doing nothing special and then just for fun dances down the track and smashes one for six whenever he feels like it.

well it's been great to watch but not because it's a contest. he's playing with poor old Craig.

I feel for Craig a bit; only played a handful of first class matches, parachuted into the deep end for the West Indies tour and against expectations took some wickets. Inevitably that couldn't continue, just doesn't have the overs, experience (or raw talent) to continue and that shortfall is now making itself felt.

Has been excellent with the bat though.

The draw is the big fave here. NZ still have to get through Younis and Sarfraz, and Asad is reliable until he gets to 30 or 40.

Plus bloody Rahat.

Need a full toss hit to cover again.

Looks more like a fizzler with Anderson and Neesham making the batsman play only 3 times per over. Win looking a very distant prospect now.
